— chapter 12 —
acceptance.
—
"Uh, yeah~. We'll be going now." Louis spoke nervously, Selena nodded as they both left the scene as quick as they arrived.
"Whatever. This is bull crap." Sean grumbled as he took off as well.
"So, you guys finally got back, huh?" Justin's mother spoke victoriously.
"You could've taken her back in a less complicated and troubled way, though." Justin's father muttered, causing Justin to roll his eyes.
"Aw! I knew you two were meant to be! Eddie, look how cute they are!" Ariana's mother spoke happily. On the other hand, Ariana felt like she was about to die from embarrassment.
As both their parents chit chatted, Justin lowered his head to Ariana's ear. "It's not the best way of showing acceptance, but at least they aren't mad at us. Right?" Justin whispered, trying to calm Ariana down.
"...I guess." Ariana reasoned, before grinning like an idiot.
"What's with that smile?" Justin joked, laughing.
Ariana noticed they were inches apart. So she grabbed the collar of his shirt and slammed her lips on his.
As they separated, they looked at their parents to see they were still talking amongst themselves.
Ariana's smile only widened as she got lost into Justin's brown irises.
"I love you." She whispered, sighing in content.
"I love you too."
—
A week after, Ariana and Justin were called by Louis to come over.
Now, in their current situation, they couldn't help but be utterly confused.
Both of them looked dumbfounded as Louis and Selena held hands.
"We're...together." They both announced in unison.
Immediately, Ariana enveloped Selena in a tight hug which made Selena stop breathing for a moment, and Justin did their special handshake they've done since they were little.
As both parties quieted down, Louis' snarky comment catched everyones attention.
"We got together before you two."
As Ariana and Justin turned their heads to look at each other, they both quickly looked away, an evident blush on both of their cheeks.
"C'mon you prudes! When are you gonna call it official?" Selena complained, high-fiving Louis.
As the awkwardness died down, Ariana and Justin left together, both refusing to look at the other.
As they both went to enter their own separate carriages, Justin stopped Ariana, kissing her on the cheek.
"Meet me at the park in two hours, okay?" He whispered only so Ariana could here.
But there was one more person who heard it.
Ariana nodded, before taking off.
Oh Ariana, you're fairy tale is going to come to an end.
