they had taken ariana to the hospital.
justin and ariana's parents were seated in the waiting room.
justin couldn't take it anymore. this all happened because of him. he was the one who insisted to go without guards. he was the one who left her all alone. he was the one who had let her get taken away from him yet again.
"mr. and mrs. grande, you're free to check up on her." the doctor came out, opening the door for them.
justin decided to let them have their moment with her, and he'll go right after.
she's okay. she's okay. she's okay.
ten minutes passed. ariana's parents cane out of the room, their faces were filled with melancholy. but justin didn't worry, he was sure she was okay.
he stormed in the room, closing the door behind him.
"ariana?" he opened the curtains to see ariana's limb body.
the sight itself almost made his heart jump out of his throat.
wires and chords were attached all around her. her pale face was filled with cuts and bruises.
justin still thought she was beautiful.
"j-justin..." ariana whispered, holding her hand up, in hopes of him holding it.
he sat down in front of her, intertwining his fingers with his.
the doctor had told her the situation. her heart was about to give out. she wasn't gonna last long.
"justin...i-i'm leaving to a better place." she whispered, eyes turning glossy.
his eyes widened, squeezing her hand tighter. she didn't mind though.
he leaned down, kissing her. the kiss was full of passion, lust, desperation. both of them knew it would be the last kiss that they would share.
he pulled away from her.
"...i love you." he whispered, his tears hitting hitting her chin.
"i-i-" her throat was closing in on her. her heart was giving its final pumps.
"...i love you too." she whispered back, eyelids coming to its last close.
she smiled. she was gonna die happy. not in an abandoned house with her ex. she'll die with her loved ones around her.
justin caressed her cheek. she smiled one last time, before her eyes closed.
-...BEEEEP-
the doctors, nurses, and ariana's parents came rushing in.
her hand slowly left his, flopping on the bed.
he didn't focus on the chaos around him and ariana.
the love of his life might've died. but at least she died happy. that was what he wanted for her.
...goodbye, ariana.
