The school cultural festival is the most joyful days of Sakura High School Academy. It is held during the last weekend of October and is often celebrated not just by the students but also by the neighborhood whether they know or are related to someone from the school or not. Though most of the schools in the city traditionally celebrate their school festivals on the first week of November, Sakura High deviates from this so that the students could also enjoy the school festivals of other schools.
Before the school idol performance concert was discontinued, a lot of people visited the school's festival. This is because the idol concert is really a remarkable event of the school. The school really spends a considerable amount of money to make the production of the concert grandiose and pleasing. Students also perform originally created songs and dance numbers for the concert with the help of the teachers. Aside from the high expenses used in the concert, one of the reasons why it was discontinued was the lack of creativity of the newly enrolled students. They seemed to be academically inclined than musically or artistically inclined. This strengthened the decision of the board to suspend the said event. But even though this happened, a lot of people living within the community still hoped that one day the school will reorganize the said event.
"This is a big challenge for us Moa-chan, Yui-chan, Yuuya-kun. If we can't surpass or even equal the performance quality of the previous school idol event, people might throw tomatoes on us." Suzuka said.
"Really? I like that!" Yui said.
"That's not what Su-san means Yui. What she means is that people might not be happy and despise our performance. It's a western expression right?" Moa exclaimed.
"Well as long as we've done our best and we're confident about it then everything will be absolutely alright." Yuuya encouraged.
"I was just wondering. Do you guys have any news about Miss Sakura? Did she hand down any communication to the faculty regarding the performance concert?" Moa asked.
"I asked Miss Hiromi regarding that but the principal said she didn't receive any communication from the board since last week. Maybe the CEO is just permissive about it." Suzuka answered.
"But it seemed she isn't by how she reacted upon knowing that we're gonna reestablish the concert." Moa said.
"I don't know" Suzuka shrugged. "What we should be concerned about right now is our performance."
"Let's just be positive about it. By the way I've already prepared your costumes. Miss Haruno said you'll be having your final dance and dress rehearsal before your performance this night, right?" Yuuya said.
"Sure! I want to see if it's Kawaii!" Moa excitedly said.
Yuuya opened a closet at the corner of the studio and take out three gothic lolita style dresses which are prominently black colored with deep red trimmings underneath its short sleeves which covers only the shoulders. These have metallic silver plates as design in the chest and are paired with a deep red tutu skirts.
"These are hella awesome Yuuya-kun. Where did you buy these?" Suzuka asked.
"Actually I made them myself. I just used your school uniforms you left here at the studio last week as pattern to these dresses. I'm quite unconfident about the durability of the dresses at the boutique shops and they're also expensive so I just made your outfits for us to save money."
"You know how to tailor dresses?" Moa asked.
"Actually I've worked part-time before in a tailoring shop so I do know how but just some simple dresses like this one."
