A Change in the Tide

The Moon Goddess

"Run, run, run, run" That's all I could think. My feet were moving slowly but gradually they sped up, soon everything became a blur and I felt like I couldn't stop, like something eles was controlling me. I could only look around as everything rushed by.

I stopped suddenly, I was in a clearing. As I looked up at the sky I saw all the stars and the big full moon. Then one of the stars started moving closer to me. It got bigger and I could make out the from of a woman.

She was wearing all white and had a flowing dress that reached the forest floor. Her hair was silver like the moon. Then I noticed another shape from next to her. It was a huge wolf.

All the sudden I was looking at the ground. Is this person controlling me?

"Rise Sophia." She said. Whose Sophia? My eyes turned up and I met the golden eyes of the Moon Goddess. Her wolf by her side.

"Release her Sophia." I felt something pull away inside of me. I touched my chest and then noticed I could control myself. I looked myself over making sure I was all put together. A big black wolf appeared by my side, it bowed and then stood up and looked at me.

"Willow Black. Meet your wolf." The Moon Goddess said. "Her name is Sophia and she has great power within her." I looked at the wolf standing beside me. I couldn't take my eyes off of her eyes though. They were such an icy blue it made me want to shiver. "Your father was the great black wolf as I was the great white wolf. We sent you to your mother and father for safe keeping but now you have come of age."

"This is my wolf." I said finally making the connection.

"Yes and your wolf wants you to let her out." The Moon Goddess said.

"I'm not holding her back." I gave her a confused look.

"I know. The eclipse is though."

All the sudden everything began to melt away before my eyes. The Moon Goddess slowly melted away with her wolf and the scene began to change into a dark room.

The eclipse. Someone said in my head.

Sophia? I asked.

The eclipse won't stop me. She said. It scared me a little because it sounded almost like she was possessed.

Well what do you expect me to do about it? I don't have control over anything right now. I said a little annoyed.

It wont stop me. She said again. Okay I needed to get out of here.

If I let you run will you take us to the clearing? I asked as I got out of bed.

Yes. Is all she said. I opened the door and stepped out into the hallway. I had no pain what so ever and I was very grateful. I went down to the first floor and then went out the back.

"Willow!" I turned around and saw Travis running toward me. "What the hell are you doing? How are you even standing?" He asked hold my shoulders and looking me over.

"I think I'm going to shift soon." I said looking at him with a serious expression.

"I'm coming with you." He said dropping his hands. I just nodded and started running.

Ok Sophia it's your time to shine. I said relaxing and letting Sophia take over.

We picked up speed very quickly and I'm pretty sure I was running with wolf speed. As we were running I looked up at the moon, there was only half a moon which means we had about half an hour before everything went black.
