A Change in the Tide

Meeting

"Willow this is Blake." Alpha began to say, but before he could finish Blake had me in his arms and I was melting like a stick of butter left out in the sun. I felt his warm breath on my neck and the tingles running up and down my body.

"Finally." I heard Blake whisper. I inhaled his sent and found it very addictive. It was sweet but masculine and musky. Blake finally broke the hug and studied my face. I stood there awkwardly with my arms by my sides. Alpha was just watching us as if he didn't want Blake to go to far.

"You're so beautiful." Blake breathed out as he pushed a piece of hair behind my ear. I blushed and looked up at him. He was smiling and had a mysterious look in his eyes.

"Willow." I looked past Blake and looked at the Alpha. He motioned for me to come to him. I let go of Blake and went over the Alpha. "How about you let Blake take you to his family for the weekend?" I only nodded my head like I've gone mute since I walked in the room.

"I think that's a great idea." Blake said coming up behind me and putting his hands on my hips. I had tingles where he touched me and I soon found myself pushing my back into his chest. "Do you want to go pack some things?" He asked in my ear. I nodded and then grabbed his hand and pulled him towards the door. I pulled the door open and all my friends were standing there.

"Hi guys?" I said. I felt Blake tighten his grip on my hand. "This is Blake. My mate." I said. It felt strange saying I had a mate and it really hasn't sunk in that he's mine and I'm his. Blake gave my friends a little wave and then grabbed my hand again.

"Congratulations Willow!" Macy jumped on me and hugged me tight. I let go of Blake's hand to hug her back and soon Travis was hugging me instead if Macy. Blake stiffened and made a move for me but Travis put me down before anything happened.

"I'm going to meet his family this weekend but I'll see you guys on Monday." I promised. They all looked a little unsure about it until Markie pipped up.

"Just use protection." She patted my shoulder. I looked at her in disbelief but we all laughed.

"Let's go." Blake said pulling on my arm like a little boy. I rolled my eyes and then waved at my friends and then pulled Blake up to my room.

"I just have to grab a few things and then we can go." I said. I pushed him down on my bed and then turned around to get my backpack. I fixed my sweater because it was all twisted and then started pulling out clothes. I grabbed two sweaters because that's all I wear this time of year and a couple pairs of jeans. I opened the top drawer of my dresser and pulled out underwear and socks. I turned around and found Blake under the covers in my bed watching me. I smiled and zipped up my bag. I threw it by the door and then jumped on top of Blake. He laughed and then pulled me down under the covers. He had his arms around me and when I tried to get out he just rolled on top of me.

"Stop!" I giggled and pushed on his chest. He just smiled and then moved closer to me. He was so close I could feel his breath on my face.

"This is crazy." He said. I gave him a confused look. "That I have a mate." He looked at me as if he was expecting something.

"I guess it hasn't really dawned on me yet." I said thinking about it. I sat up and smiled at him. "Let's go. I want to meet your family." I said. He chuckled and then got off me. He grabbed my bag for me and then he headed out the door. Once we were in the car he told me it would take a couple hours to get there by road. I got bored really fast.

"How old are you?" I asked breaking the uncomfortable silence. I was feeling bubbly and giddy. He looked at me and then back at the road.

"Twenty one." He answered. Okay at least fate was nice and didn't make us thirty years apart. He sure looks older.
