"So who would like to go out on tax patrols today?" Bramble asked from a rock in the main area. This is my chance! Marigold thought.
"I would like to go!" She meowed. Ever since she had talked with the brown tuxedo she had wanted to do it again, learn what she meant when she said the those things about Snow.
"Perfect, it's good to know your loyal Princess Marigold." The brown tabby replied.
"We'll go to!" Mosaica meowed from her spot. With her was Tigress and Foxy. Bramble nodded and sent the patrol on their way.
Once the cats emerged from the tunnel Marigold was the first to speak.
"We should go to part around the where the big flowery houses are, I saw a ton of strays last time." Marigold lied.
Mosaica and Tigress exchanged glances, "okay, sounds good to me!" Mosaica meowed.
Marigold led the way, glad that her plan was working. The group reached the house-cat place shortly, lucky for !aigold she got to go the way she wanted alone.
Marigold ran down the a pathway of stone next to a hard black surface that seemed to stretch forever, going off into the distance. She continued to run, until she can across the same powder blue house where the cat lived.
After searching the fence she saw a lump of brown fur basking, perfect.
"Hey! You!" She yowled running to where the brown tuxedo laid. She rose her head and looked down at Marigold.
"Oh, it's you again." The cat mewed narrowing her eyes.
"Hi, so my name is Marigold! And as far as I can see you remember me..." Marigold started. "I was hoping you could tell me what you meant about Snow and all that stuff yesterday." She finished.
The cat flicked her tail, "my name is Cocoa, and fine. But if anyone asked you didn't hear this from me." She replied.
"Thanks!" Marigold mewed.
"So... Long ago there were two sisters, Snow and Sunset. They were widely known around this place, in fact they lived just down the street. But, like I was saying, one day the two got into a fight, in the middle of the night, I heard it myself. So much anger and hatred built between them and suddenly they couldn't take it anymore, so, Snow ran and Sunset ran, until Snow fell into a hole, there she started the Snowset colony. When Sunset found out she found a hole herself and started the Sunset colony, the two have been at war ever since." Cocoa explained.
"Wait... There's no war! What are you talking about?!" Marigold demanded.
"It's a secret war, none of the younger cats know about it, probably only her closest warriors. I think their called the pure ones... No quite sure." Cocoa sighed.
"Then... Lightning knows?... And the secret room! That must have something to do with this!" Marigold realized. All the pieces were fitting together now! Snow's secret room, the pure ones only having access to it and maybe even why Lightning is so odd while doing the tax patrols.
"Thank you so much Cocoa!" Marigold meowed, then with a flick of her ears she ran stopping once to get taxes.
But on themway home all she could think of was what Cocoa said, everything that she had know about Snow might just be one big secret! Thoughts formed a tornado in her head tossing ideas all around. Still wondering, the hole home came into view.
