Extra Chapter 05 (Hoshi)

YOU as Chae Min.

You and Seventeen both performed at the Music Bank. It was your solo performance and Seventeen's comeback. After your performance, all of you went back to Pledis.

You and your manager talked for a while and after that, you decided to go to the practice room where Seventeen was. You were about to open the door when you heard S.coups loud voice.

“You are one of the main dancers so why did you make a mistake? Not once but twice what's wrong?” You heard him say.

At first, you didn't know who it was because both Dino and Hoshi are the main dancers of Seventeen.

“Also you are one of the leader, you are the performance team's leader Hoshi and earlier you put the whole group in shame! You never make mistakes while performing live before so what happened to you earlier?! The fact that you choreographed most of your songs, you really disappoint me today.” Seventeen's manager scolded him.

“I'm sorry.” It was all Hoshi could say.

“If you keep on doing the same mistake twice while performing live, you better quit on being the leader.” Their manager stormed out of the room. You felt sorry for him.

You heard footsteps coming towards the door so you ran to the stairs and you acted that you were just about to go to them.

“Let's just go home for today.” You heard Jeonghan said.

You noticed the atmosphere became cold. You saw them walked out of the practice room one by one and you were waiting for Hoshi to come out too but he didn't. You thought that he decided to stay in the practice room for a while because he wanted to be alone and so he could reflect on what their manager said.

You decided to just go home with Jeonghan and you didn't bother to ask him what happened.

“I know you want to ask me something.” Jeonghan looked at you.

“Me? No. Why? Is there something wrong?” You asked acting innocent but you heard it all, you knew it.

“No. We were just.. just tired and our manager said that today's practice was canceled so we can rest.” Jeonghan lied and he went to his room.

You sent a message to Hoshi saying,
“Meet me at the convenience store near the park later at 10:00 pm.”

You wanted to talk to him and to comfort him.

10:00 PM

You got your phone, wallet and you wore your coat because it was cold outside.

You went to the convenience store near the park and you saw him eating ramen alone.

You sat in front of him but he didn't bother to look at you. He was wearing a hoodie and he thought that you were a stranger so if he will look at you, you might recognize him that he is an idol.

“Don't tell me ramen is your dinner?” You asked him.

Hoshi recognized your voice so he looked at you.

“Oh, hey Chae yes it is.” He said and smiled.

His voice was different from his usual voice. It wasn't cheerful and cute. You felt like you were talking to a different Hoshi.

You really like Hoshi's smile where his eyes become smaller but you noticed the smile he showed you just now wasn't like that. It was the same smile but some things were missing.

These past few days, Hoshi decided to call you Chae since you call him Hosh. You two made a nickname for each other, just a shorter version of your name.

“Look Hosh, I heard the conversation you had with S.coups and your manager in the practice room earlier. Sorry for eavesdropping but I can't help it. I started to worry when I heard S.coups voice was louder than usual so I thought there is something wrong and I was right.” You explained as you watched him eat.

“Let me tell you this, nobody is perfect. We make a lot of mistakes all the time because we are not perfect. I know you have a big responsibility on your shoulder but don't let them put you in shame in front of the other members. Be reasonable.” You comforted him.

Hoshi finished eating.

“It was really my mistake so it's alright. I'm fine now Chae, DK and the others comforted me when I got back to the dorm, you don't need to worry.” He smiled again, this time it was his normal smile.

I don't need to worry?!

You started to be upset.

You told him to meet you so you could comfort him because you were worried about him. And now he was smiling at you like nothing happened and he even told you that you don't need to worry?

“I came all the way here and I told you to go here because I'm worried, because I want to comfort you but you said that you are already fine so I'm done here.” You said and stood up.

“Well, that's great. I can clearly see you are totally fine since they comforted you already. I guess I'm just overreacting being so worried and all. If you're alright now then okay, that is all I wanted to hear.” You stormed out of the convenience store and you decided to walk back to your house.

You noticed that there was a hot liquid fell on your face and you just realized that you were crying.

After digesting what you said, Hoshi stood up and ran to chase you. He was happy to know that you were worried about him but he felt guilty for what he said. He saw you standing there wiping your tears so he ran towards you and he hugged you tightly.

“Chae Min, I'm sorry. I didn't know that you knew what happened earlier that is why I thought to act fine in front of you but I'm not. It's true that the others comforted me but I think it's not enough. I thought you told me to go there just to hang out that's why I tried to be my normal self. Thank you for worrying about me. I'm really alright now because you are here, the girl I like is being worried about me and I'm sorry for making you cry.” Hoshi sincerely looked into your eyes.

Your eyes widened.

The Hoshi you knew that is bubbly, noisy, sometimes dumb and childish was changed into a manly man who was standing in front of you.

He just confessed to you and you didn't know what to do. Tears started to fall from your eyes again so he started to panic.

“Hey, I'm sorry okay? I didn't mean it. Please stop crying.” He said while wiping your tears.

“Idiot, I like you too. Please don't make me worry again.” You said and you flicked his forehead.

Hoshi chuckled. He hugged you tightly and he kissed you on your nose.

He brought you home and you two said good night to each other. He promised to talk to their manager about it and he will ask him for a second chance to prove that he can take the responsibility as the leader of performance team and Seventeen's choreographer.

"Hoshi, we're here." Chae Min poked Hoshi's cheek.

Hoshi fell asleep on Chae Min's shoulder. They were at the back of the car, only the two of them because Chae Min accompanied Hoshi to a studio to visit a professional choreographer Chae Min knew who can help Hoshi to improve his skills.

"Chae, I dreamt of you just now." Hoshi said while they were walking inside the building.

"Really? What happened?" Chae Min asked.

"We like each other." Hoshi looked at her so she looked at him.

"Then, shall we start dating?" Chae Min asked him jokingly then she chuckled.

"Shall we? I will ask Mingyu about it first." Hoshi said and they both laughed.
