Have you ever had one of those days where you do not feel like getting up at all? Well, today is my day! But my mom is constantly on my back.

Mom, wants to head over to the local adoption center to pick up a very special child. I'm not talking about a deformed child, or a child with a syndrome. I'm talking about adopting an African Giant. In case you don't know about these giants. They are VERY tall people recently discovered in the plains of Africa. The first one was found in someones backyard in the state of California. That one was twelve feet high and was none as the California Giant.

Both man and woman are monstrous. Ranging from ten to seventeen feet. I've encountered some big ones myself just recently. The biggest one I have seen was fifteen feet. The bigger ones are usually on television. Mom hopes to get a giant my age so we can have a brotherly bond. I'm the only child so my mom wants me to have someone to play with.

Honestly, I don't see how that is going to work. The kids around my age tower over the average man already. Plus, imagine what my mom would have to do in order to feed him.

"Blake, let's get in car. Adoption center won't be open much longer." Mom called from the hallway.

"I really don't see the point in this mom. I'm okay with being a single child. I don't need a brother. Especially one that is going to be taller than grizzly bear on its hind legs! Mom, he may even cause trouble. I don't want him breaking things."

"Blake, they are very passive giants. If taught right, he will be just like you. A nice, sweet, caring son. Come on, let's go get him." She placed an hand on my shoulder. "It'll be great."

"We have many of these guys from all over the place. Most of them, I would say between seven and sixteen. Its a really hard effort to keep them! But all of that pushed aside, they are really harmless. Mostly quiet too."

That's good to know. "That's good to know." I said outloud this time. "So which is the tallest?"

"The tallest here is around nine feet. I'd say he is about twelve years old. I'd say he may be a seventeen footer by adult." The nursed pushed open the leading to the outside backyard. "These are the older ones. Pick the one for you." The lady politely said.

In the yard, boxed in by a huge fence. Were giants roaming around. "Don't you just love em?" My mom squealed a little. "I want one not to big now. Do you have one possibly thirteen?"

"We do! He just turned thirteen a few days ago. His name is Gunther and he's seven feet nine inches tall." These guys grow so fast!

My mom chirped. "We'll take him!"

Hmm... Having a giant as a brother? I suppose it is not all that bad.
