Unknown: Calm yourself Tall-A!
Tall-A: Little girl scared.
Two months later. Summer is nearly over.
Unfortunately, Tall-A has beckoned me with bad news that has shocked me as well as my parents.
Tall-A told me he had planned to go back to his home; Africa. I asked him why and he told me that this world is far too little for him. He was right about that. Over in America, or any other place in the world is not designed for a giant. I could understand why he wanted to go home.
I had so much fun for the past two months over in California. Tall-A was a blast to hang out with. He came out of the woods more frequently just to play with me. Soon, he actually came out to the world fully. Tall-A knew that people would eventually find him again. So he came out of hiding and is now a much bigger celebrity than he was before. Being a celebrity did have its perks. He was mostly known for the weightlifting competitions he participated in. He won first so many times due to his immense size. His highest lift? Over 30,000 pounds or fifteen tons. Stronger than a gorilla, stronger than a tiger, stronger than some elephants! Thanks to his height and strength, Tall-A has been able to save the lives of many people and animals. Just last week he easily lifted an upside down car out of a ditch. Another week he has pulled a juvenile humpback whale back into the sea. The big guy was known as a hero in California.
So much of a hero, the police wanted him to join the force and he did. Tall-A wasn't there to shoot anyone, he couldn't hold a gun. He would simply serve as a intimidation factor to any criminals around. I mean, who would want to go toe to toe with a 12 foot man? If I were in a criminal's situation I wouldn't bother even trying to fight back. Shortly after staying a few weeks in the force he left it. Turns out he was shot at on his tenth run. He wasn't injured by the bullets because it turns out, bullets bounce off of him like tennis balls. But I guess he just doesn't like being shot at. Probably spooked him a bit.
Tall-A seem to like only weightlifting and kept pursing it to take on records. Currently, he has three trophies. He could of had way more than what he has now but he just started it. Even though I understood why he wanted to go home. I still didn't understand why he decided to accomplish all these feats then leave. That I will never be able to figure out because I don't know how the mind of Tall-A works.
"Thomas, you ready? The truck is outside waiting." My mom said.
"Yes, I am ready. I will be done in a bit," I said back to her.
Today was the day we were to take Tall-A too a plane that was heading back to Africa. I didn't want him to go away. But I knew I wouldn't be able to stop him from doing what he wanted to do. This will most definitely be summer that I will never forget for the rest of my life. My friend was going away, going away and probably never coming back.
"Mom, I am going to miss him." I said to her, "I don't want him to go."
"Honey." She sighed, "I know you don't. But he wants to do this. He's too big for this world Thomas. I am also pretty sure that he has a family he wants to see." She was right about that. I know a little about his family. Robert, the old man, told me about his brother Kredkrus. Speaking of the old man, I recall him saying he was going to free Tall-A from the circus. I wondered what happened. "I am sure that we can go over to Africa ever once and a while so we can visit Tall-A again. I am sure he would like that."
"Really? We can see him again?" She smiled and nodded her head. "Yay!" I cheered.
My mood sort of brightened after hearing the news. I would at least get to see him a few times a year. So... I guess its time to take him back. We have twelve hours to reach over to Africa. Its going to hurt my soul during the duration of the flight.
