A/N:
Finally finished rewriting chapter two. I tried to put everything that I did before into this chapter but it was really hard to remember. Anyways, hopefully you'll enjoy this chapter. Make sure to give me some feedback and tell me what you think of this story so far. Thanks :)

Merlin was walking through the corridors of the castle when the moments from earlier that morning came rushing back.
It was going so well sparring with Gwaine, well, other than the fact that Merlin was terrible with a sword. Then the bandits came and they had to actually fight. It wasn't until Gwaine received a fatal blow that all went to hell. Merlin was so focused on not letting his friend die that he didn't care if Gwaine saw him using magic or not. He thought he would've been greatful for Merlin saving his life or may have even known about his magic all along. He couldn't have been more wrong.

"Gwaine please, I would never hurt you."

"You already did.... Here. You lied to me."

You
Lied
To
Me.

Merlin's breathing labored as he made his way to the nearest wall. He put his hands against the cold stone to support himself.

"Magic is evil Merlin, are you?"

He shut his eyes tight, trying to get rid of the conversation that was ringing through his ears.

"Have you gotten close with us, close to the king, so you could find out all our secrets?"

A tear escaped his eye and made its way down his pale cheek and onto the floor.

"and figure out how to take over Camelot?"

"No." Merlin quietly said as his palms that were on the stone wall, were now balled into fists.

"How can we be friends if you've kept this from me this whole time?"

Merlin just stood there and stared at the now small drop of water on the ground.

"If you want me to keep your secret, then leave Camelot."

"Merlin!"

The young warlock's thoughts were interrupted when someone yelled his name. When his vision cleared he straightened his back and unclenched his fists, bringing them down to his sides.

"Sir Leon." Merlin said with a bow.

"No Merlin, no need to do that, I'm your friend." Leon exclaimed.

"Right," Merlin said as he straightened himself back out, "friend."

Merlin never knew that Leon thought of him as more than just a servant. He always thought the guy was just nice to him considering that he and Arthur were close.

"Are you okay Merlin?" Leon asked with a worried face.

"Yes, I'm fine." Merlin said with a fake smile. He's been mastering that facial expression ever since he started lying to Arthur and everyone else around him.

"Merlin... I saw you holding yourself against the wall with your hands clenched into fists. You didn't even look like you knew what you were doing. You've been crying too, I can see it." Leon said as he cupped the side of Merlin's face. He rubbed his thumb down his cheek and over the tear track. Once he was satisfied, he brought his hand back down.

"I'm fine Leon, no need to worry." Merlin reassured him.

"Alright Merlin, but just know, I'm here if you need someone to talk to."
