A/N:
Finally chapter seven!!! This is the longest chapter I've written so far, and it's has finally started getting into the plot! I've been a little teasing lately and have spent many chapters on the morning and noon of one day, but it is finally afternoon/night! You get some Merlin/Gwaine, and a new character + violence. This chapter is totally rated T.
I would really like some feedback! Anyways, enjoy! :)

Word had traveled all over Camelot. Soon enough, everyone was talking about the mysterious Emrys.
The worst part of it all was that Gwaine had been right, Geoffrey of Monmouth had confirmed that Emrys was indeed a sorcerer.
It wasn't so much of a surprise to Merlin once he thought about someone who loved books as much of Geoffrey to have heard or read about the prophecy.
But that just made Merlin ten times more worried.

"What!" Arthur shrieked. Everyone in the throne room flinched. "What do you mean 'Emrys is a sorcerer?' Are you saying that there is a sorcerer in Camelot!"

"Perhaps." Geoffrey answered back. He wasn't even minding that Arthur looked like he was going to rip his head off.

Arthur closed his eyes and took a few deep breaths. "What else do you know about this... Sorcerer."

Merlin flinched when Arthur spat out 'sorcerer.' All Merlin could do was pray that none of the things that Geoffrey could mention would give him away.

"Well, your Majesty. What I have heard about this man is from books or journals."

"Books?" Arthur questioned, finally opening his eyes.

"Yes, he is stated in a prophecy."

Arthur gaped at the librarian but quickly shut his mouth considering it was not appropriate for a king to do that.

"So, we are dealing with... some sort of legend here?" Arthur asked.

"I believe so."

"Well, please, go on." Arthur gestured with his hand.

"From what I have read, Emrys is the most powerful warlock to will have ever walked the earth."

Now everyone was gaping. Merlin quickly caught sight of Gauis. The old man gave him a scolding look but Merlin could see the worry etched into his features. He was severely worried for his ward.

"M-most powerful?" Arthur asked nervously.

"Yes sire."

Arthur just nodded while blankly staring at the table. Geoffrey took that as a signal to proceed.

"The prophecy states that Emrys will guide and protect the Once and Future king to one day unite all the lands of Albion, and accepting all people. It is considered the golden age."

"Who is this 'Once and Future King'?" Arthur asked.

"We do not know sire." Geoffrey answered. "But, if Emrys is indeed, here in Camelot, then all possibilities point to you, your majesty."

Arthur eyes grew wide. "Me?!"

The librarian nodded just once.

"Wh-" Arthur was back to gaping again. "Why would I need a sorcerer to protect me in the first place?"

"Warlock." Gaius corrected.

Arthur's head immediately snapped to the court physician. "Excuse me?"

"You said sorcerer, but he is a warlock."
