I sat looking out the window. "Sir? What would you like to do this morning?" My maid Alice asked. I turned and looked at her. "Nothing. You can go relax." I said dismissing her. Alice left my room. She closed the door behind her. I got up from my bed. I looked in the mirror fixing my hair so it would stay out of my face. I sighed realizing this would be another boring day. I have to attend to my duties to soon be king. In all honesty I don't think I'm ready to be king. But it's not my decision to make. "Sup dude." A voice said as my door swung open. "Quiet my mother is sleeping still." I told him. He frowned. I looked at my friend Danny. "Well vampires don't need to sleep." He said. "If we use significant amount of energy we do." I told him. "Yeah yeah whatever. Let's go for a walk." He said walking out not giving me a chance to respond. I got my daylight ring off my table. I didn't get to inherit being able to walk in sunlight like my mom. She's a pureblood. My friend Danny is also a pureblood. Pretty much the only reason I can hangout with him. I mean that I'm allowed to. I joined Danny down the hall. "Good morning Prince." Some people said to me as we walked to the staircase. "Good morning." I responded back politely. Danny rolled his eyes as we walked down the stairs. We took a left and went out the main door. There is a barrier around our house so that humans won't find there way here. My dad, the king let's our clan do whatever. They grab random humans off the street. I think it's risky and I hope to change that. I always think I could be taking someone's mom. Or someone's dad. I'm different now and am probably the only one that thinks like this. Danny doesn't. He does whatever. But then again.. Humans are kinda just food. It's been a while since I've had some blood. I checked my pockets. Then it came to mind I forgot my phone. I still have 20 years till I'm king. Might seem like a lot. Which I think it is but they want me prepare. "Hey your highness ready to have fun?" Danny asked sarcastically. "Yep." I said popping the P. "Well it's 1 now. So follow me I'll make you not boring." He responded.
Maya's Pov
"Okay follow me Maya." Olivia said. I sighed. I was really tired from the party yesterday. "It's already 2!" I whined. "Ugh. We almost there so come on quit being a baby." She said. I followed her. In Maryland you can pretty much walk everywhere. We came to the skating rink. I rubbed my face. "Really?" I asked sleepy. She nodded. "I brought your skates from home and mine so come on." She said. I looked around following her into the building. "Ehh to dark I go home now." I said. She hit my arm. "Owwww." I responded loudly. "Asheton will be here soon. Here." She said handing me my skates. I put them on. "You didn't tell me flapjacks was coming." I said tying my shoes. I looked up seeing the bright light and 2 more people walk in. I looked back down. Olivia laughed. "Well come on." She said getting up. "I haven't skated in a while. What if I fall?" I asked. She was silent for a moment. "You will not fall come on." Olivia said. I stood up. "See?" She said. "Shhhh." I told her. "Asheton texted me he's here." Olivia said. I nodded. I went to the arcade area. I sat down. I put my regular shoes back on. I had slipped my skates in Olivia's bag. I rested my head on the wall. "Somebody tired?" A kid asked me. I shrugged not looking at him. "You should probably go home." He said. I thought about this. "I don't want to be murdered by my friend so I can't." I told him looking at him. He looked familiar. Eh. He looked around. He blinked and one of his eyes quickly turned red then back to blue. I shifted around noticing this. I must be very tired. "If it's not to much to ask can you go away. I'm..just wanting to be alone." I told him. Usually it's hard for me to talk to people I don't know. I think he picked that up from me. "Yeah. No." He said. I silently looked away. "Carson." Someone said. Two more people approached. The guy who was talking to me who I know now is Carson walked over to them. I looked out to see Olivia and Asheton. They looked like a couple. I smiled at the thought of this.
