Hermione's POV:
I sat in a cold hospital chair by Draco's bedside.
I had been here for days.
Now, I was wondering if he would ever wake up.
There was good news, however.
Ron was sent to Azkaban for the use of the Cruciatus Curse on poor Draco.
He has been sent there for life, having almost murdered Draco and having formed an alliance with Lucius.
Now I don't have to worry about him coming after Draco or I again.
But now I don't have anything to worry about anything except Draco.
As I sat here, the door opened.
In came Harry.
"Hi, Harry." I said.
"Hi, 'Mione." He said, standing in the doorway.
"Come sit down." I said, motioning to the chair next me.
He walked over and sat down.
"So. How are you?" He asked me.
"Good. I've been here for almost a week." I said.
His eyes widened.
"Have you eaten?" He asked.
I laughed.
"Yes, I have." I said.
"Well, that's good. How long are you planning to stay here?" Harry asked.
"Well, probably until Draco wakes up. Then I can go take care of him." I said, looking at him.
Harry did too.
He was even paler than usual, if that's possible.
His legs were wrapped in gauze and tape.
I could see a faint line of dark blood under the bandages on one leg.
His nose was encased in plaster, but had breathing tubes attached at the bottom.
He had an IV inserted into the crease of one elbow.
Basically, he looked terrible.
At first, I was sure that he was going to wake up soon.
Now, most of that hope has faded.
The first two days I had stayed here, day and night.
I never left, not even to eat.
He didn't wake up.
I'm now worried.
I need him.
I don't care about any other muggles or wizards.
All I want is Draco.
Harry and I sat in silence, engulfed in our thoughts.
After about an hour, my stomach rumbled.
"When was the last time you ate?" Harry asked.
I thought for a second.
"Early this morning." I said.
Harry glared at me.
"Its late, isn't it?" I said.
Harry nodded, looking at his watch.
"It's around 10:00 at night." He said.
I blinked.
I opened the blinds.
It was dark, lights glittering everywhere.
"Well then." I said.
"Want to come get food with me?" Harry asked.
I shook my head, still looking out the window.
"Ok, then. Bye." Harry said.
"Bye." I said.
I heard the door close.
I looked back out the window, marveled at how bright one light can shine.
Hi guys.
As this is the first chapter of the second book, I expect the reads to go slow at first, and them pick up more.
Anyway, I hope that you all stick with this book, too.
Adios.
Lots of love and Potter vibes, Wylah
