So sorry for the wait..
I've been so busy.
Ok.
Let's stop the chatter.
Let's get right.. INTO THE NEWS!
Hermione's POV:
"Draco." I whispered.
He nodded at me, smiling.
I felt a tear run down my cheek.
"Come here." He said, holding out his arms.
I ran to him and hugged him as hard as he could.
"I... I thought..." I faltered.
Draco pushed me away from his chest, holding my shoulders in his hands.
"You really thought that I'd leave you?" He asked.
My eyes leaked tears.
"I had so much hope that you hadn't, but you... You almost did leave me." I whispered.
"I couldn't do that you." Draco whispered.
He pulled me into another hug, and soon, I could feel the tear stain, wet and cold against my cheek, that I was leaving on his hospital gown.
"You alright?" He whispered to me quietly.
I nodded, hearing my hair rustle against his chest.
"You want to go for a walk?" I asked, getting up.
He laughed.
"What?" I asked, confused.
"Well, I can't walk." He said.
I stared at him.
"You're PARALYZED?!" I almost shouted.
"No." He said, smirking.
I remember when, at Hogwarts, that smirk and his disgusting hair were the worst combination.
I groaned.
"I have a feeling being in a vertical position would do bad things for my back." He said, very matter-of-factly.
I guess that it was true.
Even though he was sitting up, he was still at a reclined angle.
"Okay. I see. Wait here and I'll get a wheelchair." I said, turning towards the door.
As I walked out, I heard him say quietly, "I'm not going anywhere."
*thirty minutes later*
It took forever to find a wheelchair.
I wandered the hospital, trying to find one.
A blonde, peppy nurse asked me if I would like directions.
I told her I'm looking for where I asked for her opinion.
OOOOOOH BURN!!!
Sorry lol XD
I had to.
She looked stunned and I walked away, smirking on the inside.
I eventually found a hallway with a wheelchair rack, and I took one.
For a few minutes, I walked behind the wheelchair, pushing it along.
But then, I realized, what's the fun in that?
So I sat down in the wheelchair and rolled myself along.
It was the freest I had felt in a while.
I wheeled all the way back to Draco's room.
I stood up and opened the door.
Draco was still laying in bed, his eyes closed.
"Hey." I said.
One of his eyes flickered open, and then closed again.
"Hey." He replied.
"You ready to go?" I asked, walking the wheelchair beside Draco's hospital bed.
"Yea." He said, opening his eyes.
He swung his legs over the side of the bed and winced.
"You okay?" I asked.
"Yea.. Back." He said, taking a deep breath.
"Alright." I said.
I grabbed him around his waist and lifted him into the wheelchair.
He felt light as a feather.
Now, I could see how the gown hung on him.
I turned my eyes away and went behind him.
"I'm ready." Draco said.
And with that, we wheeled out of the room.
See, this chapter ended happily.
I'm not THAT mean to make Draco disappear or whatever...
Actually, I had planned to have Hermione come back and have Draco be gone, but just in the bathroom, but then I realized that I would have to change the not walking part, and I was too lazy XD
Anyway, I hope that you like this update!
Lots of love and Potter vibes, Vanessa
