Chapter 2 : The Exchange student

Chapter 2

I woke up by the sound of my alarm.  Feeling all lazy , I got out of bed . Its been two days since my last ecounter with the evans. They were really nice except for Zac who is just full of himself. I took a bath, brushed my teeth , changed into my clothes, and went down stairs to the kitchen where my mom was making some delicious pancakes.

"Hey mom!" I greeted her .

" Goodmorning sweetie" she smiled "sit down and eat your breakfast".

" hmmm, these are good" I said taking a bite of the pancakes. After eating, I kissed my mom goodbye, and drove off to school.

I arrived at school and sat on the bench where my bestfriends are seated.

" Hey Sam!" they all said in unison.

"Hey " I greeted them back.

" Have you heard of the new guy?" candice said.

"no" I said

" I heard he's a hottie.  I haven't seen him yet but I can't wait" she squeled like an obssesed fangirl. who could be this new guy that every girl in lakeview high is drooling about? he can't be that perfect.

" whatever " I said to her . she rolled her eyes and just  smiled. The bell rang and we all went to our classes. I have english class and I don't have classes with any of my bestfriends today. I guess I'll just go by myself. it can't be that bad.

I went inside Mr. Parker's class and sat at the back .

" Okay Class we have a new student today" the teacher said. I'm really curious to see who this guy is. The door opened and my eyes widened to see this gorgeous guy who walked inside the room wearing his famous smirk. this can't be happening. Why is he here? am I dreaming? The new guy that the girls are drooling over is no other than......

" Class meet Mr. Zac Evans" Mr. Parker said . I can here the girls gushing over him.

"hey" Zac said with a smirk. 

" Mr. Evans, why don't you take a seat because were about to start the lesson" Mr. Parker said.  I bowed my head to avoid eye contact with him. i can see Zac in the corner of my eye walking  into my direction. I can smell his perfume and I can sense that he's standing beside me. " Hey Babe, I didn't knew we were in the same class" he said with a wink. I snapped my head back to look at him and I can see girls glaring at me. I looked  at zac with a smirk plastered on his face . "Don't call me babe and what do u want?" I said.

" Can I sit here beside you?" he said. " Why? there are a lot of vacant seats over there . why here?" I said.

" c'mon your the only one I know" he said. He sat beside me giving me a smile showing his perfect teeth.

" fine" I muttered crossing my arms.

Mr. Parker was talking about Shakespear, one of the famous poet who wrote romeo and juliet, hamlet, etc. I try to ignore eye contact with Zac but I can see him staring at me in the corner of my eye.

The bell rang and I went to the cafeteria to grab some lunch and sat at the table where my bestfrieds are seated

"hey guys" I said.

"Hey Sam!" they all greeted me with a smile. I took a bite of my sandwich then suddenly candice started squeling.  

" oh my gosh, sam look that's the new guy I was talking about. isn't he dreamy ? "  she said.

I turned around to see Zac surounded  by some cheerleaders who were all awed by his gorgeousness

" aww pshh cmon you think that's dreamy. I've seen better " I said. Candice  rolled her eyes eyes and continued eating her sandwich.

We all talked about our summer camp when we were in middle school. The awkward moment when you all laugh remembring the stupid things that you have done when you were younger the suddenly  my friends laugh came to a stop . They all looked at me with wide eyes .

"what's wrong ?" I said .

" uhmm Sam look behind you" Candice whispered. I turned around to see Zac Evans. Could my day get any worse?.

" well hello Sam mind if I join you?" he said. I was about to say no when he sat down right next to me and introduced himself to my friends

" hey, I'm Zac" he said

. Candice immediately grab hold of his hand and shook it.

" oh my god, Hi I'm Candice , this is Alex, and Jane" Candice said like she was his number one fan.

" what do you want evans?" I said.

" well I'm here to tell you that my mom invited you and your mom to dinner tomorrow at Chalet 7pm . We already made reservations there. " he said. I  was speechless . I don't know what to say. His eyes locked mine. We stared at each others eyes for a minute until he broke the awkward tension between us. " okay, my work here is done. I gotta go . see ya" and with that he got up and went back to the direction where the cheerleaders are all seated. 

" what was that all about? and did he just ask you out on a date?" Jane said with a shocked expression on her face then she suddenly started squeling. " I have no idea and no he did not ask me out on a date . Its called a family dinner" I said. 

" woah I didn't know you guys knew each other" Jane said.

" well its a long story. were umm neighbors actually" I said.

" if he hurts you or breaks your heart I swear he's gonna get it" alex said.

" Calm down lex were not going out on a date remember?" I said.

" soo what are you wearing tomorrow night?" Candice  said.

" umm I don't know  yet I'm really not good at choosing dresses" I said.

" well get ready tomorrow cause were going shopping" candice said.

" but how about school? I can't just ruin my perfect attendace record" I protested.

" Sam its just for one day and besides its just one absent what could go wrong?" I was about to protest when the bell rang signaling that lunch was over. I groaned we all got up and went to our classes .

School was over  so I went home , and crashed into my bed. what a day. I hope tomorrows dinner will not be as bad after all.
