It was a quarter pass 12, it was almost time to take my medication. They put me on drip and alla that, I don't know when they'll discharge me but I just wanna go home. I heard a knock then the door open I took my right arm from over my shoulder to see who it was. It was a nurse and August. August had food in his hand while the nurse came with the tablets.

"How are you feeling Ms Matie?"

"I'm feeling weak.. But better than last night"

"Okay good, its time to take your medication so you'll be eating this first then take them"

"What's that?"

"Bread with steamed cabbage "

"Do I really gotta eat that?"

"Yes you do now start eating"

I really didn't like the looks of the meal. August came up to me and set on the bed beside me I swallowed the lump in my throat before I open my mouth, I took a bite of the sandwich bread and cabbage I closed my eyes feel tight because it tasted awful. She watched as I ate so I knew I would have to consume everything

I was now through with eating and took the tablets then she left leaving August and I.

"Baebeh yo okay?"

"No, I....... I don't know.." I looked away from him playing with my fingernails

"Everything will be over with soon baebeh, I promise yo that"  he lift my chin for me to look at him. Our eyes was now connected and I stared at his face. The only thing that could lighten up my world. I realize his lips were moving so I snap out of my gaze

"Huh?"

He laughed a little revealing his pretty little dimple "yo better listen tu me an stop staring at a Nigga.. Was saying I'm sorry about what happened between us"

"August... Don't start cause you ain't"

"Sade I'm fr this time. I swear on my life ma. I love you Sade nobody else but you. Im sorry I've been a dickhead. But I'm trying remember I ain't use tu this settling down fo' one person kinda thing"
