One hundred and ninety two horsemen ride with pride of the ultimate sacrifice
Their deaths were a heroic symbol immortalized in stone facade of the Parthenon
Their names engraved in the memories of all those who know their history.
It makes no difference how long ago and what has been lost over time
Once the world knowns of the facts of those lost pieces of carved stone
Respect must follow for their truth of belonging is in the place of first creation.
History and power games of humanity's cruelty over each other is just trivial
Compared to those who died in those campaigns of war against aggression
Their loss was for self defence of their own land and culture and without their deaths
Our world a different place than from the understanding of Marathon and Thermopylae
And the games of "what if "do not change the facts and history of sacrifice
Respect must follow for their truth of belonging is in the place of first creation.
The Parthenon stood over generations under Ottoman Rule and yes they be guilty of neglect.
But it was western forces that caused the desecration and the most damage of all to this monument.
Christian monks changed the temple into a church knocking down parts of that ancient building.
Venetians blasted this temple apart firing on the hoards of gunpowder stored in the ruins.
Elgin a Lord of English rule coveted those sculptures so,and his actions destroyed more than all above.
Shame on the British rulers today, not showing respect of history nor the sacrifice of fallen heroes.
Shame on Western Civilization not returning those Marbles back to the Acropolis SHAME!
For what Elgin did was desecration of not just a Pagan Temple but destroyed a memorial
Of a sacred place where the Spirits of the fallen ride, those one hundred and ninety two men.
From that Battle of Marathon. So still those restless souls can not rest, after 200 years out of place.
And with no Respect for their sacrificial spirits, those Horsemen are reduced to just artifacts.
Respect must follow for their truth of belonging is in the place of first creation.
