"Mistakes and Consequences."

The next morning I woke up in a bedroom I didn't recognize. I sat up, rubbed my eyes, and saw a women in the door way.

"Ah, good morning Lady Lucy," she gave a slight bow, "I will go inform Master Natsu of your awakening." She left and shut the door softly. I threw the covers aside, and saw I was in a beautiful silk nightgown. On the bedside table there was a new set of clothes laid out for me. There was a tight fitting sweater, and a pair of black skinny jeans, along with a pair of black boots. It was cute! I put it on and ventured out to the tall and skinny corridor.

I started walking left, when a speeding Natsu came running at me. He tripped and nearly fell, then slowed to a stop. He cleared his throat and I laughed quietly.

"Ahem-- good morning Lucy," he said. He gave a smile that would make any girl weak in the knees. He grabbed my hand, spun me around, dipped me down, and kissed my cheek. I felt my entire face burn up. Once I got steady again, he wrapped me in a hug.

"Good morning Natsu." I smiled, wishing we would stay like this forever. Running my fingers through his hair, I whisper, "This is perfect." He squeezed me tighter-- then abruptly pushed me off.

"Oh! C'mon! I have surprise for you!" He grabbed my hand and started running.

By the time we made it down stairs, Lucy was panting. I apologized relentlessly, but she just waved it off.

"So... what's...the surprise?" she asked, still panting. I smiled.

"C'mon," I said, directing her out to the awning. Some maids of mine had set out a table outside for us to have breakfast on. I sat down and invited her to join me.

"What would you like for break--"

""NATSU!!!" my father called. A chill was sent down my spine. Lucy nearly fell out of her chair. I ran into the kitchen.

"Yes, Father?" He pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed(a thing he only did when he was mad). I swallowed the nervous lump in my throat.

"Can you guess why I have called you here?" I could see Lucy directly through the window behind him.

Natsu had been inside for a long time. I hope he didn't get in trouble.... Just when I decided to go inside and look for him, he rounded the corner and came through the glass doors.

"Oh, Natsu! I was worried something bad had happened--"

"Something did happen," he said, looking at the ground. I approached him and tried reaching for his hand, but he took a step back. He squeezed his eyes tight and pressed his arms firm against his sides.

"I'm asking you to leave."

(Time jump; Lucy's house)

I didn't ask Natsu why, just stood there staring at him in disbelief. His eyes were cold, unfriendly even. I stood there, trying to decide whether I should quietly go, or stay. In the end I hung my head, closed my eyes, and silently walked passed him, not looking back.

Now I'm crying alone in my bed, wondering if that was a mistake on my part. Then, there was a knock at my door.

"Hello, Lucy?" It was Ma Ri. "Can I come in?" she asked. I wiped my eyes and sat up.

"It's open Ma Ri," I said. She came in and sat next to me.

"What's wrong, Dear? You've been crying." She wiped a tear off my face with her thumb. I broke down and explained everything to her.
