I had hoped Lucy would go with me. It would be no fun if I was there all alone. Chances are, Lisanna would be there anyway with her sister Mirajane, who wanted us to be together as much as my father.

"So will you go with me?" I asked. Her mouth fell open in shock.

"Are you kidding?! I'd be a fool to turn you down! This is a once in a lifetime opportunity!" she exclaimed. I gave her a sly grin and stared directly into her gorgeous, bittersweet, brown eyes. My world was held in those eyes.

"Is that the only reason you'll go with me?" I asked. I was hoping she'd fess up and tell me how she felt about me. It is very unclear to me how she feels about me. All I know is that--

--I love her.
So much-- it hurts...

"Pick me up at eight!" I called running towards my car, with a smile from ear to ear.

That smile hadn't disappeared since then. I awaited for Natsu to pull up in my long driveway. My maid, Ma Ri, had helped me with my hair and my dress (look at media). I was watching the clock, as it turned from 7:59 to 8:00. I turned to look back out the window, and sure enough, Natsu was coming towards the door. He looked so good-- no, hot. I squealed so loud, Ma Ri freaked out and thought I was being attacked. Thank god I explained it to her before Natsu came in. When he got in, his mouth hung open.

"Oh no... It's to much! I'll go change!" I turned to run, but Natsu  grabbed my wrist. He pulled me into a hug.

"No, it's perfect," he paused and stared into my eyes,"I don't want you to change a thing." I could feel myself blushing. There was a strange urge inside of me, that I couldn't explain.

I was pulling up to the house as the clock turned to eight. I started to walk towards the door. To be honest, I was a little nervous. When I got inside and saw Lucy waiting for me, all my worries went away. She was beautiful. I didn't realize it, but my mouth was hanging open.

"Oh no... It's to much! I'll go change." I grabbed her wrist as she turned to run, and pulled her into a hug.

"No, it's perfect," I paused and stared into her gorgeous brown eyes,"I don't want you to change a thing." She blushed. There was a strange urge inside of me, that I couldn't explain.

(Time jump; at the ball)

"You look lovely, Miss... What was your name again?" Virgo, one of the twelve ball hosts, asked me. I was so nervous and Natsu could tell, so he answered for me.

"This is my--," he paused, and looked at me out of the corner of his green eye,"--Date, Lucy Heartfilia," he said. My heart was beating so hard, I could feel it against my ribs. I bowed a little, in respect. She smiled and bowed back. Then she walked back to the eleven others.

"Oh my god! I can't believe I'm here!" I exclaimed. He smiled as I turned around in a circle, admiring the scenery. When I was facing back towards Natsu, his hand was outstretched, asking me for a dance. I felt myself blush as I looked down at the floor, and took his hand.

Lucy was light on her feet. We danced half the night and talked. I don't think we were ever this real with each other.

"Hey, Natsu!" Oh no... It was Mirajane! I slowly tried to speed walk away, but she grabbed my collar.

"Hey, don't walk away from me. I have a message from your father. He wants to see you," she said. I looked back at Lucy. She was eating some cake with my friend Erza. Mirajane saw me staring.

"Don't worry, Erza and I will keep company of your girlfriend." I blushed and walked away to find my father. I was in the middle of searching for him, when he found me.

"Oh son! I'm so glad I found you! Come with me, right this instant. I have some very important news!" my father said gleefully. I followed him all the way to the other side of the ball, where we met up with Lisanna and her parents.

"Hi, Natsu!" Lisanna said a little to eagerly.

"Hey Lisanna... Dad, what business do you have with Lisanna's parents?" I asked.

"Well son, you know how Mr. Strauss and I both run top businesses in Fiore?" my father asked.

"Yes," I said, awaiting him to get to the point.

"Well... We-- Mr. Strauss, care to continue?" my father asked him.

"Yes Daddy, please do," Lisanna said. I looked around at everyone's faces. Mr. Strauss cleared his throat nervously.

"Well, uhh... We have decided to merge our businesses together," he said.

"Oh, is that all?" I asked in a relieved tone. I sighed.

"Well actually..." my dad trailed off.

"Um..." Mr. Strauss did too. Then Mrs. Strauss stomped her foot down.

"Oh for pete's sake you two, stop avoiding the real reason we called them over here! Lisanna, Natsu, when your fathers businesses merge, you two will be married," she said. My heart skipped a beat right there. Lisanna ran up to me and hugged me.

"Yayyyy! This is what I've always wanted!" she yelled. Then she hopped down and kissed me. My heart beat was slow...
