This girl was out of her damn mind. I heard her a mile off. Prancing around in the rain with that boy, drinking from the bottle like an alcoholic. Then stripping off, and jumping off the bridge. I took my eyes off her for a second. Luckily she was ok.
I needed to get far away from here. She was bleeding, I could smell her as if she was right in front of me waving it around. Her precious blood, her tasty blood, her warm blood. “Fuck.” I kicked the rabbit I’d been gnawing aside and turned back to her. What was she doing by the water now? Just peering in like Narcissus amazed by her reflection. She took a couple of deep breaths and stepped back. “That’s right, go home little blood girl.”
But she didn’t. I couldn’t believe what she went on to do next. She started climbing back up the bridge, with her bloodied leg. Rather than wait for help like a normal person. Maybe she heard me, maybe she knew I was out here, feeding. She was slow but not tauntingly so. She looked down on the water like it’s master, like a queen or a princess then the crazy chick dived in.
I caught her immediately and placed her on the green. I didn’t think she’d realised as her eyes were still closed. Then she opened them.
