Chapter 24: Your Fault
Mackenzie's P.O.V
We sat quietly at the dinner table none of us bothering to engage in some kind of conversation with each other. Mum and dad refused to talk to each other as they both blamed the other one over losing Aimee. It wasn't just one person's fault though it was mum and dad's fault
"Ow Mac. That hurt." Elizabeth whined a second later, not liking the fact that she wasn't the centre of attention for a whole second. I turned to glare at Lizzy
"Stop it Elizabeth! Just stop it! You don't have to be the centre of attention the whole time." I snapped at Elizabeth
"Don't shout at the dinner table Mac." I heard Mum mumble. I threw my knife and fork down on my plate before I stood up. Mum and dad looked up at me
"Just where do you think you are going young lady?" Mum asked. "Sit down and finish your food." She ordered as Lizzy started sucking up to mum and dad once again.
"I'm eating my food." She said in a sickly sweet tone
"Yes you are unlike someone. Now eat up your food." Mum smiled at Elizabeth
"Seriously mum?" I screamed a second later.
"What is it now Mac?" Mum sighed at me
"You. That's what it is. How can you be so blind?" I asked her as Elizabeth kicked me under the table. I glared at her
"What?" She asked me innocently as she pulled an innocent face.
"Stop kicking me." I ordered Elizabeth
"I don't know what you are-." Elizabeth started.
"Elizabeth cut the innocent look and go upstairs. Get your PJ's on and go to bed this minute." Dad told Elizabeth sternly
"But I didn't..." Elizabeth started a second later.
"I felt your leg reach across to Mac's Elizabeth now go upstairs and do as you are told." Dad replied to Elizabeth a second later. Elizabeth stormed out of the dining room and up the stairs as dad turned to mum.
"Mac's right you know. You are so blind to Elizabeth's behaviour." Dad told mum
"Then why don't you do anything about it?" Mum challenged him as she raised her eyebrows.
"Because every time I do. You accuse me of picking favourites. Elizabeth is not innocent she's a spoilt brat who needs to be disciplined." Dad snapped at mum.
"How dare you call your child names!" Mum yelled.
"How dare I call my child names? You were the one who..."
"JUST SHUT THE HELL UP!" I screamed at them.
"Stop blaming each other for losing Aimee's trust and start taking equal responsibility. Mum you didn't even ask Aimee what she wanted to do for her birthday you just forced the idea of a party on her and you just went along with it dad. Start acting like grown up's instead of blaming each other." I told them before I got up and went to my room.
Aimee's P.O.V
"And this is your room." Uncle Sebs told me as he opened the door. My eyes widened as I took everything in. I ran towards the bunk bed and climbed on to the top.
"Now I'm taller then you!" I screeched making them both laugh, I swung my legs over the side and sat on the top of the frame.
"Careful Aimee." Uncle Sebastien said as he came towards me.
"Dude calm down she's just being a kid Sebs." David reassured him as he started to climb up the ladder. He sat beside me
"Dude this is really cool. We need to get one for our own room!" David said excitedly.
"And apparently Aimee isn't the only kid here. Apparently I'm also going out with one." Uncle Sebs joked as he shook his head.
"Come on Sebs. Come and join the cool club." David replied to him. Uncle Sebs laughed even more as he came towards us as climbed up the ladder. He sat on the other side of me as I placed my head on his shoulder.
"Do you like it Aimee?" He asked me as I nodded my head.
"I love it. Thank you." I told him a second later.
