Chapter 6

"That's not important Riley?" I yelled walking away. Since school was already over.

"Can we please stop , Riley!" I yelled. Tears started to pour down my face.

"Peaches what's wrong?" She asked running up to me hugging me.

"Riley I don't know! I love your uncle Josh but when Lucas talks to me he makes me feel like I'm important and that he actually cares for me." I explained wiping away my tears.

"Maya break up with Josh then if he makes you feel so unhappy."

"I can't Riley you don't understand I need Josh. He is my escape! And Lucas is to popular all these girls hate me already imagine dating Lucas? I'd be dead in the morning." I started walk to the schools exit. My phone started buzzing.

Oh great it's Josh.

Text message:
Meet me at the train station I have a surprise for you 💞(:

"Riley I have to go meet with Josh she you later kiddo?" I walked away and she just stood there confused with no idea what had happen to me and my ego.

It's like I  didn't know myself anymore. I'd never cry for a boy or let him take advantage of me! Why did I change.

I finally got to the train station. Josh was standing there with a big bouquet of flowers. I soon had a big huge smile plastered on my face.

"Hey baby girl. I got you these pretty little flowers for my pretty little flower." He handed them to me.

"Thank you Josh." I got on my tippy toes and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"So what to you want to do today, Maya. Since I'm staying for a while and you have a three day weekend this week?" He grabbed my hand and interwind our fingers.

"I can use some ice cream! And maybe a walk around Central Park." I asked.

"Sounds good anything for my little flower." We continued walking until we found the train that would take us downtown to the ice cream shops.

As soon as we got of the train Josh and I both headed to the ice cream shop that was located next to Topanagas. As we walked past Topangas I saw Lucas laughing and flittering with this tall brunette with wavy hair. Had he moved on that fast? He literally yelled at me for not wanting to be with his after the kiss. What ever i don't care I'm with Josh and thats really all that actually matters. He changed and he changed for me.Josh also makes me feel alive and rebellious. Unlike that how that goody goody cowboy would make me feel.

Whatever i continued walking to try to avoid Josh noticing that i was look straight at Lucas. He opened the door to the ice cream shop and we went in. We sat at a table and Josh decided to go order us an Ice Cream Sunday. We talked while waiting for our ice cream to come to us. We talked for thirty minutes straight about random things with long awkward pauses in-between. It was not the same as how it was before. I left awkward with Josh and nothing felt the same. We couldn't keep a nice long peaceful conversation. Oh sundae finally arrived to our table and I began to eat. As i was about to put a spoon full of ice cream in my mouth. I could see that someone was walking towards the shop. It was Lucas and the stupid brunette that he was with. I swallowed my ice cream and as they were going to pass by Josh grabbed my chin and bought me in close for a sweet kiss.

"You taste so sweet." he said after we pulled away from the kiss. Fuck I couldn't see who Lucas was walking with. Even though that was really sweet what Josh did it was weird coming from him. He wasn't really passionate with me before but i guys i have to start getting used to the fact that he is becoming someone extra sweet. Its kind of nice but weird at the same time.

"Maya whats wrong?" he questioned me.

"Im sorry Josh its just really weird that you're being so affectionate since you weren't as affectionate before." i explained.

"Im trying Maya.Im trying to be a better boyfriend than how I was before.Im trying to change for you Maya. You really mean a lot to me and I don't want to lose you ever again". He seemed to say it with such confidence, but that made him seem very suspicious , I felt as if he was lying straight o my face. I didn't believe him but I was going to try. I wanted this to work between Josh and I since Lucas made it especially clear that Lucas had moved on. After ice cream Josh took me back home and I faceted with Riley.

"Hey Maya!"

"Hello riles you seem extra happy today!"

"I am Maya I went on a date today? And you'll never guess who i went with!" 

Fuck was she the one that I had seen with Lucas while I was on a date with Josh. Maya Hart sank and i quickly felt that my cheeks went red. My stomach quickly turned and I cant believe he would go out with my best friend just because I had turned him down. Fuck him , IF he really went out on a date with Riley the Lucas wasn't the person that I thought he was.
