Ruffling through the papers an exasperated sigh escapes her rosy pink lips. Getting up from the chair, she makes her way out of her office.

Her green eyes search the clinic. "Hey, uh , Aisha, do you know where Marlene is?". She questions, her voice soft yet confident. "She's downstairs I think". Aisha suggested before walking back and sitting down on to her chair.

Walking downstairs she watched her best friend turn around holding two gold and red gift baskets with a puzzled look up on her face. "Who's that for?". She asked curiously. "Us", Marlene whispered, her eyes staring at the gift basket with such intensity.

"Not that I don't appreciate the gift baskets. But why? And who sent them?". She questions again. "I don't know Lily, but only one way to find out". Marlene replies walking upstairs into her office. Lily obediently follows her best friend, who also happens to own the clinic along with her.

"Ari's getting married". Marlene mutters disbelief evident on her face, as she gawks at the card in her hand.

Orange juice spurts out of Lily's mouth and stains the floor."What bull shit". Lily whispers flipping her red hair behind her. "It's true". Marlene mumbled unable to take her eyes of the card. "Our Ari? Aariana McKinnon? Marriage? Those words do not belong together in a sentence". Lily responded scoffing.

"I'm not joking. Open up your gift basket". Marlene challenges. Unwrapping the ribbon, Lily opens up the gift basket, as her eyes register the contents of the gift basket. Chocolates, candy, vouchers, brochures and flowers.

But what catches her eyes the most, is the wedding invitation card perched on top of the gifts. Lily's fingers grasp the card and she flips the card open.

You are cordially invited to the wedding of Aariana McKinnon and Daniel Gunther-Harding. On the 28th December there will be a meet & greet reunion, where will we all have time to get to know each other and catch up. We will all set up on the 29th, and on the 30th a grand party will be thrown. The Wedding will take place on the 31st at 6pm. The couple request the honour of your presence as they join hearts and lives in marriage.

"They want me to do a speech". Lily added reading the small note scribbled onto the corner of the card. "Same here". Marlene replied. Before they could continue on further, the door burst open, and stormed in Caleb Black.

"CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS!?". He yelled shocked out of his wits."We couldn't believe it either". Marlene muttered shaking her head. "She's the last person you would expect to get married". Caleb grumbled pecking Marlene on the lips before propping into the chair next to Lily.

"No, that would be Aaron". Marlene remarked grinning. A scowl appeared on Caleb's face and Lily couldn't help but gasp.

That one name triggered so many memories."Fine, then second to last person". Caleb replied rolling his eyes.

"No. That was you, before we got married". Marlene remarked smiling.

Lily fingered the card delicately, her finger tips brushing it. 'Sometimes, the smallest things trigger and open up our world of memories. Full of moments that left us breathless. The world of memories is a beautiful place.

Snippets of our past are always safe in our memories. Memories are a funny thing actually'. Lily thought a soft smile creeping upon her face.'They're like chocolate boxes, once open, you cant stop at one'. Laughing at her thoughts, Lily dragged out a box full of small objects, photographs and  year books.

Her eyes scanned the photographs remembering those moments again.

"C'mon Lils, lemme win this? Please? You win everything?".

"Well I can't flirt with girls like you". He had whispered. "Huh? Girls like me? What's that supposed to mean?". I replied glaring at him. "Girls like you aren't made for flirting, but for love.....and love isn't good for my health".

"You know your smile? It's dangerous, if I had a heart I would've lost it to your smile ages ago".

"Come back here!". He yelled, running towards me. A giggle esxaped my lips as he caught up to me and pulled me to his chest.

Moments that brought a genuine smile onto her face, sometimes even tears.

"I wanted it to be a surprise". He mumbled looking into my eyes. "Oh, so you're leaving?". I replied tears prickling in the back of my eyes. "I have to, its my dream. I....". He trailed off, noticing that they were alone. "You wanna run, you wanna fly, even fall. But you don't wanna stop. You can't live a simple life. I know. Thats why you should go".

Opening up her yearbook, she spotted her own photo, and Marlene's. Searching for Aariana's, she saw her smiling and looking wild as always. Her fingers flipping another page, her eyes met a pair of chocolate brown eyes. The same untamed hair. A gasp escaped her lips, before she could stop it.

Staring at the gift basket once again, Lily couldn't help but being dragged back into the past.
