CHAPTER 5
"Lily, are you sure?". Marlene asked grabbing Lily by her shoulders, and boring her eyes into her green ones.
"Marlene, for the tenth time. Yes!". Lily exclaimed exasperated.
"Okay good. Are you ready? Bags packed?". Marlene checked.
"Yes". Lily sighed slumping into the couch near by.
"Alrightyeo! Let's get this show onto the road". Marlene squealed pumped up and ready for the adventure.
They hugged Marlene's parents goodbye and drove to the airport. Everything was happening quickly. Lily was scared but excited. A new sense of adventure was rushing through her.
Anticipation. Excitement. Fear.
This was her first going against her parents. But, there was no backing out now.
Before she knew it, Lily and Marlene were already boarding their plane, searching for their seats, and settling in to them.
Marlene picked up a magazine and starting flipping through it, while Lily plugged her headphones in and searched through the playlist. A cough broke her search and diverted her attention to the not so strangers standing around her.
"Hey there scholar". He spoke.
Ugh. Not the nickname. Worse. It's Aaron Parker and his 'gang'.
Irritation flooded through her. "I have a name". Lily replied.
"Sorry about him, he's just being a git". Aariana apologised.
"We noticed". Marlene smiled back.
"So anyways, where are you two going?". Ryan questioned
"YWCA is holding this adventurous tour around Europe. So that's where we are going". Marlene explained.
"Hi-5 girl, that's exactly where we're going". Caleb exclaimed holding up his hand.
"No thanks. I don't have a sanitiser around". Marlene remarked.
"Ohh fiesty". Caleb teased turning around.
With all the teasing and mucking around, no one noticed when time had flown by. Soon, they had landed to their first destination.
