Keisha and I continued to explore the huge campus, admiring the buildings and excited students.
"Isn't this great?" I kept on asking happily. It wasn't my fault . This was new liberty to me and I felt happy. I was very excited indeed.
"Calm down honey." Keisha giggled.
"I can't. I'm more than happy that–" I cut my sentence abruptly when,
"HEY!" Keisha screamed, pulling me aside. Surprised and a little shaken, I realized that I'd almost been knocked down by a race bike. The person driving had stopped. We stared at whosoever it was, angrily.
The stranger wore black leather from head to toe and had on a black helmet.
"Are you blind?" the guy asked rudely, without taking off the helmet.
My goodness. Was he sick?
"What?" I asked in disbelief.
"Oh, so you're deaf too? Don't you watch the hell where you go? What if I'd knocked you down?" he continued to rant and I was so close to losing it.
"Are you kidding me?" I asked annoyed, "What the hell is wrong with you? You could clearly see me at a distance but you chose to be blind and try to knock me down! How dare you ask me that? Who was supposed to see the other?"
He shook his head.
"You teenagers are always immature and rude." he scoffed and my eyes widened.
"I'm not a teen. I'm twenty, for your information."
He faced me.
"I didn't ask you anything." he stated dryly and I frowned even more.
Keisha giggled silently the whole time. I guessed she found it amusing that I was talking back and defending myself, for once. I surprised my own self, too. I never talked back to anyone. I tried from time to time with Josh but would later on regret.
The guy slowly raised the cover of his helmet, exposing only his eyes. His eyes were beautiful. Beautiful grey. He had a silver piercing on his right brow. He looked rather rugged alright, but in a very good way. I guessed he probably had tattoos. Definitely the rebellious type.
'Why am I not surprised? Look at him.'
"And you think because you're twenty, you're something?" his voice annoyingly snapped me out of my thoughts.
"Shut up, stranger!" I retorted without thinking.
'Really? I couldn't find better? Oh gawd, I'm ridiculous.'
"Stranger?" he mused, "Is that supposed to be an insult?"
He chuckled and that was it. I officially lost the bit of temper I had left.
"Shut the hell up." I frowned. I wasn't used to insulting people.
He looked older than Keisha and I.
"I don't care to know you but I know one thing, twenty years of age are something. And since you think you're mature, how old are you?" I asked
"Twenty five." he replied, confidently. I scoffed.
"And you're happy? Because you think you're something? Oh please, don't fool yourself." I gave him an ugly stare, "I bet you just got your highschool diploma and you're here to enroll as freshman. I won't be surprised if you'd dropped out of school back in highschool and then returned after you realised your life was a mess."
He was silent and I knew I'd gotten the jerk.
"What you're saying makes no sense to me." he stated firmly.
"I don't care if it makes sense to you or not. I say what I want and it isn't my fault if your brain can't process it."
I surprised myself even more.
'Woah! What's happening to me today. I'm in such a mood.'
He stared again and Keisha burst out laughing. I expected him to get angry but he didn't.
To our surprise, he chuckled and then covered his eyes with the helmet cover once more. Then he started his bike.
"Hey! You've not apologised!" I said angrily. He ignored me, smirked and drove off.
"Who was that?" I turned to Keisha angrily. She giggled.
"A clearly handsome bastard. Though we saw only those eyes."
"What an idiot. He tried to spoil my day but it won't work. No way."
