the sea is a white-silver today;
it's not often that its shade can match
my grandmother's hair.
but there it is.a vast expanse of thin blue silk,
stretched over a dark sapphire jewel that
molded itself to our earth, and sometimes
brought more grief than happiness.
today the sun was shooting silver arrows that left a
star-like sheet of gossamar
to linger.grandmother checked the weather forecast;
she says there will be a storm tonight.
but looking on the ocean now,
it does not seem as though
it could ever be anything
more than
a pool of calm infinity.but i know
it
isn't
so.
