You can't shake the huge grin off your face as you speed out of the parking lot. You had finally gotten rid of him. It seemed like a huge weight had been lifted off your shoulders.

And there was Foxy, grinning at about the same way as you were.

It was Foxy who brought you to do this. And it was probably one of the best things that happened to you in your life.

"Good job, Y/N! I knew you had it in you!" Foxy proudly announced as you drove away from the diner. You chuckle at his remarks.

"It was you, Foxy, who set it up. Thank you, you have no idea how much that meant to me." You can barely make out of your peripheral vision that his head was craned your way, giving an unreadable look. It was composed of a smile, but seemed to have a deeper emotion behind it.

You clear your throat, attempting to break the tense silence. "Ahem, where were we?" You speak out, vaguely remembering that you had plans before the whole Jace incident.

"We were heading to Freddy's, to pick up a pizza," Foxy groans, and you mentally do the same.

"Oh yeah, that's right. Great, just the place I want to go to." You flick on your turn signal last-minute and make a sharp turn, changing your route based on your new destination.

You walk into the restaurant cowardly, wanting to crawl into a shell. The hostess greats you politely, but gives you a confused look. It made sense, why would an 18-year-old girl come to a child's pizzeria unattended by anyone else?

You respond sheepishly that you were only here to get a pizza to go.

"Oh, okay, I'll put an order in with the chef," the hostess replied, looking a little guilty. "but for now, you can take a seat."

You slide the closest chair out and plop down in it. The hostess walks into the kitchen, and quickly returns to you. "It'll be about five minutes."

At home, Foxy had eaten four slices of pizza. You hadn't had any yourself, and rather just reheated the Domino's you ordered earlier.

"Well, now we have four slices left. I'll grab you another one or two tonight." You sigh, remembering that you still had to go back there.

"Wait, you're going back? No, you can't. They'll kill you." Foxy snaps back, sounding a little over-protective.

"Foxy, it's my job. I have to. I need to earn a living. I have a rent to pay, and food isn't free. This is a good job."

"No it's not, Y/N! They're all cold-blooded murderers. You have to find another job. I won't let you go back."

"Foxy, you're insane! They're not going to kill me, Bonnie's your friend! Isn't he?"

Foxy blinks a little, and turns his head to his plate. He stares blankly at the discarded pieces of crust on his plate. "I thought so."

"What do you mean you thought so? Isn't Bonnie coming here next week?" You cock your head to the side, a look of confusion brushing on your face.

"Yeah, well, wouldn't a real friend just pick up and leave?"

You sign and scoot closer towards him, then stretch your arm out and rub circles into his back. "Well, Foxy, maybe he is right. You don't know if you can coexist yet. Bonnie's less stable than you. He is friends with the others, too, so maybe he wanted to break the news to them. Whatever it be, he most likely has a serious reason. Now, since you're so gung-ho on me not going back, how about I call off sick?"

He nods his head as a yes. "That would be nice," he hums, closing his eyes and leaning a little on you.

"Alright. But I'm going back tomorrow. No ifs, ands, or buts."

He nods again, and you retract your arm and stand up. You begin to make your way up the stairs when Foxy calls your name.

"Y/N! One more thing," he speaks as you stop yourself on the third step. "What's that, Foxy?" you ask.

"Can I maybe lay with you for the night? It's very... lonely... here on the couch."

You smile and wave your hand, beckoning him to come up. "Sure."

~

You lie in bed next to Foxy, and stare blankly at the ceiling. Breaking up with Jace may have been one of the best things in your life, but meeting Foxy took the cake.

Late A/N- Okayyyy, I'm really excited to start getting into the deeper relationship part. It's going to be /slow/ because that's how a not romance-based relationship goes. It doesn't happen that one day you barely know each other and the next you're mashing lips (except in tense moments in movies, my friends 😉), so it'll be "slow" (yes I know this is xreader so I know it should be about their relationship but that's not all it is) ,,,thanks for reading through my wall of text (;
