Percy's point of viewTwo weeks had passed since Annabeth's disappearance; there hadn't been any sign of her. Not that I really cared. She had gotten on my nerves one too many times for that. The truth is that I could probably find her in seconds if I used the mirror that I use to keep an eye on Zach and a certain daughter of mine but I'd rather not.
Using the mirror I would see her and I might be able to guess her current location based on her surroundings, but unless I am asked to do so I'm not going to bother. Besides she's partial immortal and a good fighter so I don't suppose she has run into anything she can't handle.
Tyson had finished the sword for Christina and I had given it to her two days after her first game of capture the flag. It would have been better if it had been finished in time for her to use it during the game but Tyson only had so much time to work on it, and she had done well nonetheless.
I have been doing my best to remain in contact with my friends from before I had accepted godhood. Most of them were partial immortal so I wasn't quite as worried about losing them, but I know that it is still possible for them to fall in battle.
I am seriously hoping that we wouldn't have another war for a while, I had already had my fill of them as a demigod but I know that I will probably end up involved in another one in the future I just hope it would wait for, I don't know maybe a century at least. But knowing my luck it will probably happen sooner than that.
Three days from now I would be going on another date with Amber, I know I love her a lot, but I also dread the day that I will have to end our relationship. After Annabeth left me and shattered my heart into a million pieces I thought I would never find anyone else, but then I met Amber and she healed my broken heart. I think I love her more than I ever loved Annabeth.
The next two days were uneventful. On the third I went through my usual routine until it was evening, then I went to get Amber. When we had arrived at the restaurant we were going to we sat down at a table, we held hands and talked. More than once I noticed the waitresses eying me but ignored them. I had put mist over my eyes so only Amber would be able to see their true color.
One of the waitresses tried to flirt with me but she soon stopped when Amber glared at her. I was slightly amused by what had just happened, but I didn't bother saying anything about it. I knew that before I became a god women didn't really notice me as much. Now it seemed to be the exact opposite and I could tell that kind of annoyed Amber. I guess I could understand why, but I knew I wasn't planning on leaving her since she was the only woman I was interested in.
After we finished at the restaurant I took Amber back to her apartment. After we got there we talked for a while longer, but then we went from talking to kissing. Our kissing got more heated until we were making out. In the end, we got carried away and probably took things a little too far. I think you can figure out what happened that night, if not you don't need to know.
The next morning there was a council meeting, just my luck. It was the usual. Zeus asked if anything unusual had occurred within our domains I was paying attention to that part but then the meeting devolved into the usual arguments. Ares was glaring at me as usual, but this time I ignored him. My mind kept wandering back to what had happened the night before. It would be pointless to deny the fact that I had enjoyed myself, but in the back of my mind, I knew what could come from it. Due to that, I was also kind of worried, but there was nothing I could do to change it now.
I realized too late that the usual petty arguments had ended and that the council was now discussing Annabeth's disappearance. I had been lost in thought until Zeus's voice had interrupted my thoughts so I had only caught him saying my name and hadn't caught the rest of what he had said. When I realized he had spoken to me I said, "Sorry Lord Zeus, what were you saying?"
Zeus grumbled something about not paying attention, and then he said in an irritated tone, "we were asking if you had some way of locating her."
Athena looked at me hopefully and I sighed in defeat. I said, "I might let me try something and I will let you know if I find her."
Zeus said, "Very well Perseus, Meeting dismissed."
We all left, and then later that day I had another lesson with Apollo. At one point Apollo said, "You're in a pretty good mood today. Did anything interesting happen last night?"
Obviously, I had no intentions of telling him so I said, " It's none of your business Apollo," and then I left not caring that my lesson wasn't quite over yet. My good mood was dampened somewhat after Zeus asked me to look for Annabeth, and Apollo bugging me about my mood didn't help matters.
I can't believe that they asked me to search for Annabeth; I wouldn't care if I never saw her again. I mean I get that I am the god of heroes, so I would probably have the easiest way to find her, but really why me? Why do I always have the bad luck? I get why Athena wants her found; I mean if Christina ever went missing I would do everything in my power to find her. It was just annoying that I had to look for my ex.
