Jordan and I have been living in Brooklyn with Kelly for 6 months now and we have settled in. I haven't had any dangerous encounters at my job since that incident. I still talk to Shawn, even though he can be a pain in the ass. Kelly has a new boyfriend now. Some guy named Trey. He's aight I guess. Life is going great. Oh, For two months I have been attending classes at Brooklyn College. They ended up looking into my impressive records from Houston and I got in. My majors are literature and social work. I want to be a teacher or something that has to do with working with children.

Right now I was waking up Jordan to get him ready for church. Ms. Gloria invited us to hers a few Sundays ago and we decided to go. I haven't stepped foot in a church since he was born. Mainly because Lyndall was always hungover and sleep on Sunday's due to a late night partying the previous night.

"Jj come on. Wake up, baby." I lifted his head again to brush his teeth.

"I tired." He closed his eyes and rested his head on my neck.

"You can take a nap when you get dressed."

He finally woke up and I finished getting him dressed. He looked so cute with his little suit.

"Bey you seen my black shoes?" Kelly came rushing into the bathroom while putting in an earring

"Bey you seen my black shoes?" Kelly came rushing into the bathroom while putting in an earring.

"Might be in the closet next to the kitchen." I shrugged while picking up a brush.

"Thanks." She ran back out. I shook my head and finished styling my twists.

I did the last touches to my outfit before looking I in the mirror and smiling.

We all got into my car and drove to church

We all got into my car and drove to church. It took us about a half hour but we finally got there.

Cars filled the parking lot as people conversed with one another. I felt kind of homesick, though. When I was in Houston, while living with my parents, we would go to church every Sunday. I was even in the choir with Kelly. I grew up in a very strict and religious household which is why my parents were so disappointed and angry when they found out I was pregnant before marriage.
