Deshawn POV

Looking at this beautiful little girl just made me cry . I couldn't hold back the tears even if I tried . This is my baby girl that I always wanted . I hate the fact that I missed a whole year of her life , but it wasn't my fault . I know nothing is gonna stop me now from being in her life .

" Hey Deshawn . " Shay said sitting next to me putting baby girl on her lap .

" Hey Shay , you look beautiful as ever . " I said looking at how much more beautiful she has grown over this years time . Man I miss her so much .

" Thank you honey . " she said back .

" No problem ma . How have you been ? " I asked .

" Making it and taking care of Laila . " she said .

" Wish I could have been there to help you ma . " I said .

" I understand why you wasn't there so it wasn't your fault , but I'm not the one you need to be convincing . " she said looking down at baby girl .

" Right " I said .

I looked down at baby girl and put my hands out to her and she didn't want to come to me .

" Go to daddy Lai . " Shay said .

She looked at her mama then back at me . Then she reached out for me . For a one year old she had a very good understanding . I reached out and grabbed her and sat her on my lap . Man she is beautiful . She has pretty black long hair with her mother's complexion .

" Hi , beautiful . My name is Deshawn , what's your name ? " I asked her even though I know she can't answer me back .

She just looked at me and laughed . She has a very beautiful smile and I hate thinking about the fact that today is the first day out of the whole year of her life of me seeing this amazing smile . I will make that nigga Fat pay for this . Until I get better all I want is to spend time with my baby girl so she can get to know her daddy . I played with her for about a hour until she feel asleep and I played her down in side of me in my bed with me . Nicole left about thirty minutes ago to go home because Shay said she would stay the night . I wish this coma thing didn't happen because I miss calling her mine already .

" Thank you for staying with me tonight ma . " I said looking at Shay .

" It's no problem I'm off tomorrow so we can spend the day with you so you and Lai can get to know each other more . " she said smiling.

" How has life been treating you guys since I've been gone this whole year ? " I asked .

" I can't complain even though it wasn't as good as when we were together . " she said .

I wasn't expecting that reply , but I'm happy I got it because man have I missed her to . I couldn't get her out of my mind all day today . When the Dr. came in to check on me earlier he said it was amazing how I was in a coma a whole year and still remember everything and everybody . In happy I do though because I don't know what I would do if I couldn't remember my baby girl .

Nicole POV

I left from the hospital and headed home because Shay said she would stay with Deshawn tonight so Laila and Deshawn could spend time together . I think that's a good idea because he already missed out on a year of her life so he had some catching up to do . When I got home I seen Dante' laying in bed watching TV . No we don't live together but we sleep to each others house from time to time .
We have been together for nine months now . Our relationship is great and I love it because I know he doesn't want one thing from me because we haven't went that route yet .

" Hey baby how was your day ? " I asked him while getting my clothes together to go take my shower .

" It was okay , but would have been better if you was home with me. " he said .

" Aww , baby I'm sorry I had to do something for Deshawn . " I said kissing him in between words . " Guess what though . " I said getting up .

" What baby ? " he asked .

" Deshawn has a kid . " I said .

" How Deshawn has a kid already and he just woke up from a coma yesterday bae ? " he asked .

" Before the shooting went down a girl was pregnant for him and that was the first thing he asked about when he woke up yesterday so he asked me to find them and I did . Well Jaylen rode with me . " I said .

" Damn , so all this time he had a kid ? Damn that's crazy . " he said

" I know right , but are you coming wash you with me baby ? " I asked him before I went get in the shower .

" Hell yeah . " he said .

Even though we're haven't been with each other sexually we still take showers together . I know Dante' wants to , but I wanted to wait . Maybe one day that will change . Until then I'll keep getting that death stare from Dante' . It was so funny and cute at the same time . I love that he is willing to wait for me .

Dante' POV

" Damn , baby I love looking at your body . " I said watching Nicole walk to the shower .

" Thank you daddy , that's all you . " she said smiling .

" It better be because I don't want to have to kill somebody behind what's mine . " I said .

" Never have to worry about that daddy . " she said .

" Okay mama , I love you yeah . " I replied .

" I love you too, daddy . " she said .

After we got out the shower we layed down and watched Kevin Hart : I'm A Grown Little Man . I could never last through a while movie so I leaned over and gave Nicole a goodnight kiss and told her I loved her before I feel asleep on her .
