chapter 24

Deshawn POV

After Tray had her baby she had to go into emergency surgery. I can tell Shay is scared for her sister . I just want her to know I'm here with her through everything. I know Tray got on my bad side before , but I'm praying she pulls through this . Knowing she hadn't seen her baby boy yet is fucked up. Nobody deserves to go like this. Hours are passing and we haven't heard from a dr yet. What the fuck is taking so long ?

Shay POV

I'm nervous as fuck wondering what could possibly be taking this long. Please let my sister make it . Another hour passed and the dr finally came out.

" Family of Ms. Tracy Brown . " The dr said.

" Yes , I'm her only family. " I said walking up to the dr.

" Well she is going to make it , but we don't know how long she is going to live. We did the best we could do ma'am. " He said.

" When can I see her ? " I asked with tears in my eyes. .

" They are bringing her in her room now . Room 345 . " He said.

" Thank you. " I said before heading to her new room.

When I got in the room they had her hooked to all these machines. I hated the sight of her this way. I know she did me wrong multiple times , but she is still my sister . I love her . Growing up we where all we had. Each other . No parents there to guide us in the right path. We took care of each other. Seeing her suffer like this is hard. She was still sleeping from the meds . I told Deshawn he could go home if he wanted because I was gonna stay here with her and the baby. He said he was good and that he was gonna stay with me. I called his mother and told her what was going on and she said she would keep Laila. I waited up to see if she was gonna wake up tonight. I called the nursery to see if they could bring the baby in the room for when she wakes up . They said they will bring him after he is finished. A hour later she woke up . She was looking around the room so I stood up so she could see my face.

" Hey , are you okay ? " I said.

" Yeah , just tired. " She said.

" I don't blame you girl . " I said. .

" Did they bring my baby back yet ? " She asked.

" No I called for him , but they said not until he is finished getting cleaned up and stuff. Shouldn't be too much longer. " I said.

" Okay , I can't wait to see him . " She said .

" Girl he is handsome. " I said .

" Wake me up when they bring him in , please . " She said .

" Okay , get you some rest girl . " I said.

She went back to sleep . I turned and looked at Deshawn and he was knocked out in the chair. I sat in side of him and turned on the TV and waited for them to bring the baby .

Nicole POV

We left form the hospital and headed home . We had been to the hospital for a couple so I was hungry and tired.

" What do you want to eat baby ? " Dante' asked.

" I don't know baby . " I said.

" Well whatever you want let me know before we make it home please . I don't want to have to come back out tonight. " He said.

" Well I want stuff from more than one place baby . " I said .

" Where ? " He asked.

" Taco Bell and KFC for a KFC bowl , from Taco Bell I want the cinnabon delights , and McDonalds for a McFlurry . " I said .

" Damn bae , are you sure your gonna eat all that ? " He asked .

" Hell yeah . " I said .

" Well , okay then . " He said.

We got all our food and headed home . I was so hungry I couldn't wait until we got home to eat. I started eating my food in the car .

" Damn baby , you just couldn't wait huh ? " Dante' said laughing at me.

" No , I felt like I was starving. " I said.

" You just ate at IHOP before Tray went into labor , right ? " He asked.

" Yeah , but that was two little plates . " I said.

" You ate twice ?! " He asked.

" Uh yeah , but that wasn't nothing. " I said stuffing my face with my McFlurry.

" Damn baby . " He said laughing.

" Shut up . " I said laughing.

We got home and Dante' ate his food while I went in the kitchen for more ice cream. I love me some ice cream and the way I eat it so does the baby. I hope things stay this good to the end of this pregnancy. We go tomorrow to see if we can find out the gender for the baby slash gender reveal party this weekend. I find out Monday and the party is Saturday. Gives me just enough time to get the colors and decorations we will need for the gender reveal. I can't wait !

Saturday

Dante' POV

Today is the gender slash baby reveal party . We didn't tell everybody the real reason we are having a party though. We told them it was a regular get together. Everything is falling in place according to Nicole. That's all that matters . That my baby is happy . We found out the gender Monday , but nobody knows and will not know until the party. We gave out invitations last week . We invited a lot of people . This should be interesting . Both me and Nicole's parents are coming. I just hope nobody ruins my baby day . She is so excited about this party .

Nicole POV

Today is the party and I am so excited. All of me and Dante's family and friends are going to be there . Including both of our parents. I hope this goes as good as I'm praying it goes because this is a big thing for us . Since we handed out invitations to our " Family Bar B Que " I have been getting calls and texts from people confirming that they are coming . So I know we will have a lot of people there . I can't wait !

Shay POV

It's been a week now since Tray and the baby been out of the hospital. We moved them from the guess house to the inside being that Tray has been feeling bad. Today we are going to Nicole and Dante's house. They sent out invitations for a BBQ. Something is fishy about that to me. Why they gone hand out invites for a BBQ? We gone see because we about to get dressed to go. Before I started getting ready I went tell Tray where we was about to go.

" Hey , we are about to get ready to head to Nicole's. You wanna come ? " I asked.

" No , I don't feel like getting up. " Tray said .

" Aw, are you sure ? It'll be fun . " I said with my puppy dog face.

" Yeah . " She said.

I wanted her to get out the house for once. All she does is stay in the house. I got her to come. We all got dressed and headed to Nicole's house.
