chapter 21

Deshawn POV

I still can't believe Shay is letting me stay sleep to her house tonight. Maybe there's still hope for us after all . I hope my wheel chair don't scared her. As if she would have to take care of me . I'll make sure I show her that I can take care myself. I started packing my stuff to go to Shay house. She was gonna pick me up instead of my mama or Nicole having to drop me. My leg getting stronger day by day and I really can't wait to walk and drive myself around. I hate having to ask people to help me. I can't wait to see my baby girl. This will be my first time seeing her since they got her back from that bitch Tray. I swear I'm gonna split that bitch face next time I see her.

Shay POV

I'm about to head over to Deshawn's mother's house to pick him up . I told him he can come sleep tonight. I miss him sleeping next to me and I just want to have that feeling again. I want him to know I'm always gonna be there for him. I still love him . I always will. I told Tray where I was going and I left. I'm not worried about her getting out . The way I have that guess house rigged up she could never get out without me. Laila is beyond happy that her daddy is coming sleep. Let's see how this night goes. I pulled up to Deshawn's parents house and knocked on the door and Deshawn opened the door.

" Hey hunney you ready ? " I asked.

" Yeah my bag upstairs on my bed . " He said .

I went up to his room while he stayed down stairs and played with Laila. I came back down and we left . When we got to my house he asked me what happened that night . I started telling him and when I told him I didn't kill Tray he got pissed .

" Why didn't you kill that bitch Shay , she kidnapped our child ! " He screamed.

" I was gonna do it , but she begged me not to because she is sick Deshawn. " I said .

" Yeah that bitch sick in the head ! " He said.

" She has AIDS Deshawn . " I said .

" That's more reason to shoot the bitch !" He said.

" She is also pregnant . " I said.

" Damn . " He said .

" Exactly , she begged me to let her live until after she had her baby. " I said.

" You know like I know you won't kill her after she have her baby. You just let her go free. " He said.

" No I didn't . " I said .

" Well where is she ? " He asked.

" I have her locked in my guess house. " I said.

" Are you fucking serious Shay?! Why would you bring her to your house ?! " He screamed.

" Hey calm your nerves . I'm not that stupid to let her see where I stay . I had her blindfolded until she was in the guess house. " I said.

" So what are you gonna do about bringing her to Dr. Appointments ? " He asked.

" Blindfold her ass until we get to the dr office. " I said.

" Wow, let's see how this plays out. Even though I could go in that guess house right now and kill that bitch myself for taking my baby girl. " He said.

" Okay Deshawn , let's just calm down and get off this subject. That's not the reason I wanted you to come over tonight. " I said.

" Oh my bad ma , what you have in mind ? " He asked.

" How about we all take our showers and chill on the sofa and watch some Netflix. " I said.

" I like that idea . " He said.

I went get Laila out her room and gave her a bath first . After i was done with her I asked Deshawn if he was ready to take his bath . He said he was . I went start his water as he got his clothes out of his bag. When he came in the bathroom i asked him if he wanted me to help him and he said he had it.

" Okay , well if you need anything just call my name and I'll be happy to help you. " I said walking out of the bathroom.

" Thank you ma . " He said.

Me and Laila started cooking us all some food for our movie night. We made hotdogs with chips . Something quick , but can fill you up if you eat a lot . Laila started talking to me about what happened the other night.

" Mommy, when I was with Aunt Tray she was really nice to me. " She said .

" That's good Laila bug . Can you tell mommy what happen that night you where with Aunt Tray? " I asked her .

" I was to Grandma's house and this man came and told me somebody wanted to see me . Then I seen Aunt Tray and she was playing hide and seek with me. " She said.

" She played with you ? " I asked.

" Yeah, she said we was hiding from the big bad wolf . Then she said she was going find him and she was coming back . Then you came . " She said with a big smile on her face .

" Shaaaayyy ! " I heard Deshawn screaming my name . I ran to the bathroom and he said he was ready to get out .

" Don't scream like that I thought you was hurt or something . " I said when I seen he wasn't hurt.

" Oh , my bad ma . I'm ready to get out this water . " He said.

I helped him out the tub And I helped dress him . He didn't want me to dress him , but I insisted on helping him .

" Do you still go to therapy to learn to walk again ? " I asked him .

" Nope , I don't need nobody showing me how to walk . I'm not stupid. " He said .

" It's something to help you get back to walking again Deshawn . You need to go . " I said .

" Maybe one day . " He said .

I just looked at him . Why does he have to be so stubborn all the damn time. He always was this way , but I've had enough of that . Something has got to change .

" You know what . " I said .

" What's that ? " He asked .

" Your moving in with me . " I said .

" What ? " He asked with a shocked look on his face.

" If you not gonna go to the Dr. on your own , I'm gonna make sure you go myself. " I said .

" Really Shay ? " He asked.

" Yes , Deshawn . This is your health that you are playing with . I know you and i know you don't like having people help you do the things you are used to doing on your own . " I said.

" I don't , shit get on my nerves. I'm getting stronger everyday though. " He said.

" That's good and with your therapist help you will be back walking in no time. We also will work on your waking here too. Practice makes perfect . " I said kissing him in his forehead.

" Okay , Shay I'll do it. " He said.

" Thank you for making this easy . " I said .

We went get the hotdogs and chips and went on the sofa and watched movies .
