Nicole POV

I woke up the next morning and called Jaylen to see if she would ride with me . I didn't tell her where we were going right then , but she said she would ride with me . My mom came to the hospital that morning and I asked her if she could stay with Deshawn while I go run an errand real quick and she said yes so I left and went home to get cleaned up before going get Jaylen . After I was finished I called Jaylen to tell her I was on my way . I pulled up to Jaylen house and blew the horn and she came outside . She came outside and got in the car then we headed downtown to Shay house .

" Where are we going ? " she asked .

" Well , Deshawn was telling me last night that he had a kid on the way before everything went down with him getting shot and being in a coma that none of us knew about . " I said .

" Bitch , I know you lieing ! " she said with a shocked look on her face.

" Nope , so he wants me to go to her house to see if she still lives there so he can see his kid . " I answered .

" What if she did move ? " she asked .

" We haven't thought that part out yet . " I said .

We pulled up to the house Deshawn told me to go to and got down . I looked at Jaylen before I knocked on the door . I knocked on the door then waited for a answer . After the third time knocking and not getting a answer me and Jaylen turned around to leave , but then I heard a cry coming from inside the house . I stopped and looked at Jaylen to make sure she heard it too and that I wasn't tripping .

" Did you hear that ? " I asked Jaylen .

" A baby crying ? " she asked.

" Yes , and it came from inside the house . " I said .

We both turned back to the door and knocked again . Still no answer but we could still hear the baby crying. I tried looking through the front window , but it was too high . We walked around to the back door and knocked . Still nothing happened .

" Something isn't right with this Jay . " I said .

" Yeah , I know . " she said .

" I think we should call my daddy and have him meet us here just in case something crazy happens . " I said pulling out my phone and dialing my dads number .

" He said he on his way , but I didn't tell him what I wanted him for . " I told Jaylen .

We went sit in my car until my dad pulled up . We got out the car and went to meet him . I then started telling him about the baby and how nobody was answering the door .

" Okay well what do you want me to do Nic ? " he asked .

" Dad , I think the baby is in danger because it keeps crying and no one is coming to the door . " I said .

" Is this one of your friends house ? " he asked .

I looked at Jaylen , then back at my dad .

" No dad . I came here for Deshawn . He said before everything went down with him getting shot and being in a coma he had a baby on the way with a girl named Shay . He wanted me to come here to see if she still lived here because he wants to see his kid , but when we got here we heard a baby crying inside but nobody is coming to the door . " I said looking at my dad .

" A kid ?! Why didn't he say something ? " he said .

" He told me he was planning on telling us all after y'all handled Fat , but he didn't get the chance to . " I said .
