This kept ringing in my ear for quite a long time. I couldn't speak anything.

When you hear things that you had not even thought for a second or even imagined, you often freeze.

I disconnected.

I was cleaning by room. I stopped my work.

Sharad brother must have thought the phone got disconnected due to technical issues so he called me back to confirm if I had got his message.

"Yes! Bro! I am coming", I replied

Sorry! Please be fast! Here are police investigating, he added.

He disconnected

What? Police?

Many things came in my mind all at once.

Did she rob a bank? Did she cheat bank by misusing money? She can't! She is in reception. What possibly can she do with the banking issues?

I tried to call her. Her phone was switched off.

Dammit!

I came down, took my bike out and drove to bank.

Again after 9 months I was re-inspected by the security guard of the bank.

She whispered "Sorry, I am asked to do"

I was in dilemma.

"What's all the fuss, di? I asked the security guard.

"Please go inside and ask them", she looked sad.

I rushed inside and looked around.

As I entered, all the banking works were going as smoothly as they used to be before. The environment looked normal.

I automatically looked towards the right side of the bank where there used to Shraddha.

Her seat was empty.

Sharad bro called me inside the manager room which was just on the left side of the main door.

There was different environment than before inside manager's room.

There were 3 police inspector (one lady and two gents).

"He is the one we are talking about", Manager spoke.

"What is the issue Sir? Can you please let me know? I am very worried, I spoke nervously.

We understand Anjil. This must be as shocking to you as it was to us, manager spoke.

"So, you are Anjil", a police Inspector of around 40 plus age spoke to me.

Yes, Sir, I replied.

"So, how long have you known Shraddha and what have you known about her?" he asked.

Can you please first tell me what the issue is about? I will only answer if I know why I am being asked, I spoke firmly.

Anjil, Shraddha has almost 5 different crime records in police records and was in search list since last three years, manager replied although I was expecting my answer from police.

What? You got to be kidding me? That is never true. I know her. She was with me since last 9 months every day. I know her. There must have been misunderstanding.

I looked at Sharad bro.
