I woke up holding Jesse. I got dressed in a graphic tee and some cut-offs and I walked downstairs holding Jesse. I went to bid my final goodbyes.
"Snakey, no!!" Toria said. "Sharon take youw, I go wit youw!!"
"You probably will be coming, Toria..." I said, sighing.
Luke ran downstairs.
"So...this is it." Luke said. "We're parting. All of us. Well, it's been wonderful with you guys. Toria, I've never met someone as cute and devilish as you. I'll really miss you."
Toria smiled and Luke turned to me.
"Snake, I really will miss you." Luke said. I'm certain he was blinking back tears. "I've had the best time with you, and-"
Suddenly Sharon entered.
"Come on, Kaelin." he ordered. "You say good-bye to your boyfriend, and you and your little sister get a move on."
"The kitty comes too!" Toria said, a tone of irritation in her voice.
"Fine." Sharon said. "You are both blessed. You shouldn't take advantage of it!"
"Well, maybe I don't want to be a princess!" I retorted angrily. "Maybe I wish I was the normal person I want to be, not the stupid Ariel from Disney!!"
Sharon acted as if he were deaf, as if he couldn't hear me at all. I was holding on to Luke's hand. The grip was slowly loosening as I was pulled away.
Soon everything was fading. Fading as if nothing ever happened. Fading as the scenery changed from a normal house to a retarded princess castle.
