The Zeekeeper glided down onto one of the higher branches of Antasma's colony, the branch not even moving from the weight, even though the branch was tiny. The Zeekeeper then threw Antasma off, and said something that would probably spell his doom. "I will be flying around this tree, making sure you cannot escape." He then knew that his life was about to end, since how do you escape with a invincible bird-god after you? He stood up, and the Zeekeeper pushed him towards a small hole in the tree that was an gate directly to the 'hopeless' room, as so many bats called it. He entered the hole, and looked back. He saw a miniature Wakebeam starting to form on the Zeekeeper's head, and flew deeper into the tree. The Zeekeeper would not hesitate to destroy him if he disobeyed.
He entered the 'hopeless room', which was just an execution chamber. And he saw his father rushing towards him. His father then pinned him to the ground and, with extreme speed, tied him to a plank in the floor. The plank felt smooth in a way that nothing else did, and a dreamy quality filled the chamber. Which is when he realized what was going to happen. He was not going to be executed here, but in the dream world instead. But, before he could think any further, he heard a voice. The Judge's voice.
"Attention! We have here the bat named Antasma, the prince-bat of this colony. He has committed the third-worst crime in the history of this forest. He has tortured a Pi'illo in the dream world, and this Pi'illo would have died if not for the quick action of Smoldergeist and the Zeekeeper. So, what is our sentence?" He heard voices in the walls, and realized there were bats in the walls. They talked so fast he heard only snippets of the conversations. Finally, when everyone quieted down the Judge spoke again. "Antasma, I have watched you grow up, and I never thought you would do something as bad as this. But, all bias aside, it is time for the Punishment!" He heard music, and started to feel sleepy. But the Judge kept speaking. "Your punishment is execution. In the dream world. You might wonder how we can send you to the dream world. Well, we found a little contraption in the forest that plays something that is known as the Dreambeats." And as soon as the Judge finished saying the word 'dreambeats' everyone in the chamber fell asleep.
He woke up in the dream world. He was in a clearing, a very large clearing, and there was something in there with him. He saw the whole colony in front of him, and they seemed to be fading, but they were also flowing into each other. His colony slowly transformed, and he shuddered at its final form. A giant bat. How was he supposed to escape a giant bat? He felt hopeless, but at the same time felt something unusual. He was transforming as well! Not into a giant, but into a more humanoid shape. He saw something in the giant bat's claws, and flew away from it. It was holding something that looked a bit like a spear. And it was on fire.
The spear flew at him, but it was too slow. He had gotten to the cover of trees, and saw a Pi'illo there. Not the one from earlier, but a different one. He jumped onto it, and instead of biting it he hissed at it, waking it up. He held onto the Pi'illo as it faded away back into the real world, and suddenly felt a rope around him. He was tied to a plank, but he slashed through the bindings easily. He was not in his bat body anymore, but in the form he transformed into in the dream world. He also wasn't affected by the Dreambeats anymore. But the Dreambeats were softening, and they were about to end. He flew out of the chamber, and into the 'main area' of the tree. Nobody was here, but they would be. He flew into the main chamber of the roost, luckily it was deserted, otherwise he would have been caught instantly. He heard voices, and he thought of only one thing. Escape.
