Chapter 10

I squeezed the pillow tightly, thinking it was Aaron. I slowly opened my eyes and yawned. I looked at the empty space next to me and saw, that Aaron was gone. I sat up and looked around in the room. "Aaron?", I asked quietly into the darkness. I got no answer and started to worry.
Where was he?
Then I heard the front door open and close quietly. Quiet steps came closer and the bedroom door opened. Aaron came in, he didn't notice, that I was awake and closed the door again. "Where have you been?", I asked. He inhaled a sharp breath and turned on the light. "Scar, why are you awake?", he asked me quietly. "I woke up and you were gone. Where have you been?", I asked again. "I... I was... I needed..." He looked at me and sighed. "I left to see Norbert", he said and sat down on the bed. "In the middle of the night?" He nodded slightly and looked at me. "I needed to talk to someone.", he said. "Then why didn't you talk to me?", I asked quietly. "I needed to talk to someone who... I can't really explain it.", he said quietly and looked at his hands.
I moved a bit closer to him, I didn't care, that the blanket moved a bit and I was naked underneath it. "Someone who isn't part of this situation?", I asked quietly. He looked up at me and nodded. "I'm sorry, Scar. I just-" I leaned forward and kissed him gently. "It's fine.", I said after we parted. "I understand you. All of this seems so unbelievable and unreal. I still don't realize, that there is a little human being growing inside of me. But we will realize it one day and be ready. And you know why?" He looked at me and shook his head slightly. "Because we love each other. And we will stay together no matter what will happen, okay?" He hesitated for a moment, then he sighed again. "How are you doing that?", he asked me. "What do you mean?", I asked a little confused. "Wiping away all my fear. After you told me that you were pregnant I didn't know what to say at first. Then I felt incredibly happy and then I started freaking out. And now you told me that and... all the fear I felt is gone. Now I feel like we can do everything and make everything perfectly.", he said and smiled.
I smiled as well and kissed him again. "We can do this.", I whispered and looked into his eyes. "We can do everything.", he said and kissed me again. "And now go back to sleep. Tomorrow is a big day.", he said and took off his shirt and jeans. "Really? Why?" He undressed until his boxers, then laid down next to me and sighed. "Tomorrow we will tell my parents..."
