(Y/N) hacked and spat out blood as she protected him from Reikos attack.

The sword went straight through her chest, coming out her back covered in thick red blood, while she had her knife sheath's interior wet with water, and sea water drenching Reiko's green hair.

She had taken the attack for him.

'(Y/N)!' He screamed.

The girl he was screaming for collapsed onto her knees, blood streaming out of her wound and staining her clothes.

'(Y/N)! CAN YOU HEAR ME?' He cried, slightly mumbling over how devastated he felt. She fell back and dropped into his arms, blood dripping out from her mouth.

She didn't respond.

Zoro couldn't hear breathing either.

He didn't even have a chance to confess his feelings for her, and she just...

Died.

He didn't even know what he was doing, and he just... Clamped his lips around hers,

Hoping that she could wake up.

Hoping that this is all just a dream.

Hoping that none of this is real.

Something touched his tongue, and (Y/N) started breathing again.

'(Y/N)!' He gasped in relief as he parted away, tears not ceasing. 'You're alive!'

'Barely...' She groaned, voice trembling with weakness. 'The darkness is drawing closer and closer to the centre of my vision...'

Zoro's heart dropped once he heard that comment.

'This is all my fault. Why did you have to save me?'

"None of this is your fault. Besides, I deserve hell more than any of you."

'No...' He held back tears, and sniffed.

"It's okay to cry..." She smiled, sunshine still breaking through her eyes despite the darkness of the situation. "Zoro... Before I die... Do me a favour..."

'Anything!'

"Remember to follow your dreams, have faith, and to just keep looking towards the horizon."

(Y/N) spat out more blood.

"I regret that I can't be by your side now... But from the bottom of my heart... I am eternally grateful to have met you...Roronoa Zoro... I will be free. I have the Black angel wings on my back now..."

'Please... I love you...' He whimpered as he squeezed her hand.

"I love you too." A single tear dropped down her face as a smile reached from ear to ear.

Even though she was an assassin, she still has that selfless demeanour.

Her eyes fluttered shut, and her hand dropped to the ground, still maintaining her peaceful smile.

She didn't respond to anything.

Not even the roaring sounds of battle.

Not even the shouts of surprise when marines saw her dead at the hands of Reiko.

Not even the sounds of despair and devastation coming from Zoro.

"Hey Mum." (Y/N) smiled as she looked at the middle aged (H/C) haired woman with white wings.

'(Y/N)!' She gasped as she saw her daughter. 'What're you doing here? It's too early!'

"Don't say that." She hugged her, black wings covering her white ones.
