I wiped the blood off of my arm and wrapped it in toilet paper. I found a hoodie in Jason's closet and slipped it on. When I walked out of his room I smelled food. I didn't realize I was as hungry as I was. I walked into the living room to find Jason sitting on the couch with a half empty box of pizza.

"Hey babe." He said with a mouth full of pizza.

I tried my best to paint a smile on my face but it was no use. I could tell Jason knew something was wrong because his peppy smile turned into a concerned frown.

"What's wrong?" He asked

"Nothing, I promise." I replied as I sat and grabbed a piece of pizza.

"Are you sure?" He asked again.

"Yes. I am very sure. I was put on heavy meds in the hospital and they sent me home with some. I'm just sleepy." I told him.

"Okay. I just worry y'know." He said.

"Yeah I know." I said back with a smirk.

He opened his arms for me to lean into him. So I did. I looked at the tv and he had changed it to Spongebob.

"I love you." I said with a laugh. He smirked.

"I love you too babe." He leaned over for a kiss.

I was getting really sleepy from my meds. But I didn't want to move. I felt comfortable here, laying on Jason. I felt safe.

I finally dozed off.

I was in a dream. I was in the field again, but it was different. The grass wasn't nice and green. It was dead and it crunched under my feet. I looked up at the sky and it was gray. Giant intimidating clouds hovered above. I began to hear a baby cry.

Normally it would piss me off. I would think to myself 'Shut that brat up!' But I felt a strong connection to this one.

It was my baby.

I turned and saw the dark figure. The familiar hood. And my baby in his hand. I didn't care if this was only a dream. This is where I could see my mom. This is where I could see my baby, I could watch her grow up here. And that bastard had her.

"Give her to me now." I said sternly.

Her crying intensified. It was hurting me knowing I couldn't stop it.

"YOU BASTARD GIVE HER TO ME!" I yelled at him.

The crying grew louder

He began pulling a rag from his pocket and put it over her mouth.

"What are you doing!?" STOP!" I tried to run for him but my feet were glued to the ground.

Her crying died down until she stopped. He then tossed her to me.

Her eyes were closed. She was so small I couldn't tell if she was breathing. I put my ear up to her small chest to listen for a heart beat.

Relief flushed over my body. She was alive. But she could be hurt.

"Sweetie! C'mon. Wake up, C'mon. Get up! BABY!" I begged for her to awaken but she wouldn't. She started to fade.

"JACKIE!" I yelled as she disappeared.

Suddenly Jason was hovering over me.

"Maria! Are you okay!?"

"Yeah what do you mean!?" I asked

"You were freaking out. I think you were having a panic attack!" He yelled back.

"It must've been a nightmare."i Said as i sat up.
