chapter seventeen

KELLIN'S POV
I tried my best to comfort Kayla, but she still seemed off. I couldn't just lay in bed with her all day while the guys were over, so I went downstairs once she and Bryce fell asleep.

"alright guys, what do you wanna do today?" I asked, sitting with both bands in my living room.
Pierce the Veil had all decided to leave when Megan and Vic flew out, so of course we opened our home to them for 2 more nights.

"I'm down with making hot chocolate and watching movies," Megan said, cuddled up to Vic, looking cozy.

"im down," he smiled down at her, and they walked, hand in hand, to the kitchen.

"well shit," mike said, "what are we gonna do?"

"lets go to the mall and just fuck around," gabe suggested.

everyone seemed to agree, so I went upstairs to get ready. I heard the guys calling dibs on the bathrooms.

"baby," I said softly, shaking Kayla.

"hmm?" she asked, not opening her eyes.

"the guys wanna go to the mall. are you up for it?"

she opened her eyes, and sat up.
"uh, yeah..." she yawned, "I've been wanting to get some stuff for Bryce."

"okay, I'm gonna take a quick shower, and then I'll get Bryce ready while you shower." I kissed her quickly, and went to the shower.

MEGAN'S POV
I went to our room and picked out 21 Jumpstreet, The Titanic, and The Notebook to get us started.
I pulled the blanket back and slid beneath the top sheet, shivering at the chilly air in the room.

I woke up a few minutes later to Vic gently shaking me.
"baby? are we having movie day?" he asked, setting a cup of hot chocolate on the bedside table.

"I'm sorry," I said, sitting up. "I've been so tired lately.. and I don't know why."

"probably cause you're pregnant." he said, sitting on the bed with me.

"oh shit, really? I didn't know it made you tired? gosh... I really don't know much about all this." I said with a sigh.

"which is why I went out and bought these for us to read together," he said, pulling a bag out from under the bed.
there were multiple parenting and pregnancy books, and a baby naming book.

"I only knew about the sleepy thing cause I got a head start..." he trailed off sheepishly, gesturing to one of the books.

"Vic.." I said softly, as tears filled my eyes. "I love you so much."

"I love you too," he said, pulling me into a tight hug.

"our baby is going to have the best life..." I said, imagining what he or she would be like.

"and the best mom," he said placing a hand gently on my belly, before kissing my forehead.
I grinned, and he turned on a movie.
we spent the entire day cuddling in bed, watching movies, talking about our baby, reading baby books, and drinking hot chocolate.

KAYLA'S POV
we finally got all the guys ready and piled into two cars.
Kellin, Bryce, Jaime, and Jack were riding in the car I drove. Gabe, Justin, Jesse, and Tony were riding with Mike.

"so whatcha gonna buy today?" Jaime asked.

"who me?" kellin asked

"no dipshit, Kayla," he said laughing.
