Chapter Five - The Princess Andromeda

*Lucia's P.O.V*

Freckles knocked on the grand, oak wood, double doors.
"Behave." Freckles whispered in my ear from behind. I couldn't stop the small shiver that went down my back. I wasn't sure what was the cause - the closeness or the nervousness. "Behave bad, and He won't be nice to you. I suggest you choose the latter, princess."
I was about to reply when the doors opened. Two creatures - which I didn't know the name of, though they looked kind of bear like, had opened the doors to a large open lounge room. The windows reached from the floor to the ceiling and the dark red curtains were pushed to the side letting all the sun light pour in. There was a large black leather couch in front of the flat screen tv and a coffee table that was littered with papers - I had to resist the urge to organize them. On the counch sat a young adult staring frustrated at all the papers which had markings all over them. When Freckles and I entered the adult turned toward us and sent us an annoyed look.
"What now, half-blood?" He said as he stode towards us. I felt my heart accelerate in speed in fear. Apart the fact that this guy is taller than me by three fouths a foot - and I'm not even short myself - he was still intimidating looking. The guy had sandy blond hair than reached his chin and was parted in the middle, pale blue eyes, was well built, and a scar on the right side of his face that went from the bottom of his eye to his jaw. But that wasn't what made him intimidating looking, it was the look in his pale blue eyes. A look that screamed that he was the Alpha here and he showed no mercy to those who disobeyed him or tried to outrank him. But they also whispered something that was hard to comprehend, if that made any sense. Almost like the plea to save him, almost like he already knew how he was going to die. But of course, the screaming was more attention grabbing than the whispering. His vibe was as clear as glass - don't mess with him, or you'll end up dead.
I gulped as the alpha neared us. He smirked when he looked at me. I didn't even know my knees were slightly wobbling until the blonde glaced at my legs, make me glance at them too. "Who might this runt be?" He asked Freckles, staring at me.
I forced my legs to stay still and stood up as straight as I could. I pushed aside my nervousness and looked him straight in the eye. I can't let him see me as a weakling. "I'm Lucy di Angelo."
A sudden thought popped in my head: are all these like me? A half-blood that is. It hadn't occurred to me until now. But since they're all holding bronze weapons, I guess they are.
The blonde raised an eyebrow. "Lucy di Angelo. Huh. Do you know about the gods?" I nodded and he continued. "So, do you happen to know who your godly parent is?"
Yeah, I do. But I don't know these people or their intentions, so until I know to trust them I'll lie. But who do I use as my parent? It has to be one without powers so that if they ask me to prove myself I won't have to give myself away. "Yeah, my mom's Nemesis, goddess of revenge."
The blonde studied me. I tried not to fidget, but I kept cracking my knuckles, a habit of mine. Finally after an eternal fifteen seconds he nodded. "Very well. Do you know why you're here, Lucy?" The blonde asked with a raised eyebrow.
Why am I here? I mentally face palmed. I had not thought this through. I was too caught up in my emotions earlier that I hadn't even thought about what's going to happen.
"Judging by your facial expression, I'll take it as a 'no'" Blondey said. "Well you should now that the Olympians don't really care for their children. They only use us for their own needs. You should also know that, the Olympians don't give the respect the minor gods deserve - such as your mother Nemesis. They treat the minor gods as if they aren't important, useful, powerful. But the gods are wrong, the minor gods are strong and more powerful than the Olympians. With the help of the Titans we're going to bring down Olympus, and your mother, as with the others, will finally get the respect they deserve. The Titan Lord, Kronos, and I have joined forces to bring down the Olympians, but we need an army." The blonde spoke with so much malice it made me nervous once again. The blonde pointed at me. "That's where you come in. We need demigods to join us so that we can make Kronos rise again and destroy the enemy. By joining us, Kronos' Army, we demigods, minor gods, and Titans, will get revenge on the twelve major gods!"
I stepped back in fear, and unfortunately bumped right into Freckles' chest whom I had forgotten was still there. Freckles smirked down at me with his vibrant emerald eyes and jerked me forward by my shoulders. "Now don't be fallin' for me, Lucy di Angelo." He whispered in my ear. I rolled my eyes but I can feel my face radiate heat. Damn you emotions, I thought bitterly. I heard him chuckle before letting go of my shoulders.
The blonde sighed and narrowed his eyes at Freckles. "Torrington, you're going to scare her with your horrible flirting skills." I could feel my cheeks burn harder.
"I think my skills are far from horrible. Look at her, she's basically a tomato."
I glared and growled at 'Torrington' despite my flaming cheeks. "Oh, shut it, Freckles. My face is red from trying to hold my breath since your breath stinks." I fanned my nose. Wow, that was a really stupid comeback, I though to myself. I can do way better. I could finally feel my face cooling down.
Freckles smirk dropped and he blushed. Huh, I guess he believed me. He turned around and he huffed a breath on his cupped hand and smelled his breath. He turned back at me and glared. "My breath does NOT smell bad!"
I let out a breath of laughter and shrugged. "Whatever you say, Freckles."
"Stop calling me Freckles, dammit!" Torrington said. I grinned and turned back towards the blonde who wore an amused smile. He should smile more, it's suits him nicely.
"Is that so." The blonde said. My cheeks turned pink in embarrassment as I realized I had spoken out loud. The blonde smile mischievously, and it reminded me of the Hermes kids me and that kid used to sleep in the same cabin with at Camp Half-Blood. "Thanks for the compliment. By the way, I don't think I've introduced myself. I'm leader here until Kronos rises - Luke Castellan." He didn't offer a hand but I was okay with that. His name sounded familiar but I dismissed it quickly. I gave him a respectful nod.
