It was finally my birthday. I was finally 20. I woke up and went downstairs. Brooke was there with Nick. They were making me breakfast. I heard their conversation. "So, Nick. You really like Kenzie huh? " Brooke asked. I stayed up far enough to where they wouldn't see me but I could hear them. "I love her." Nick said softly. "Do you see yourself having a future with her? " Brooke asked.
"Yes. I do. I feel like I need to know her more than I do already." Nick said. "Nick, I've never seen her happier than this. She really loves you. When she was 14, she was in love with this boy named Johnny . They were together until she was 17. He had been cheating on her for 3 years. He said he loved her. He cheated with one of our best friends. She apparently walked in on them making out. She wasn't the same until she met you." Brooke said.
"That's an asshole thing to do. I won't let anyone hurt her. If anyone hurts her they won't be able to stand again." Nick said. I saw Brooke's eyes widen. Nick sat next to Brooke. " I want a future with her. I had this dream of our kids, and growing old with her." Nick said softly. I didn't want to hear anymore. The table was set. I quietly walked up to the top of the stairs. I yawned and I walked down.
"Good morning beautiful." Nick said softly while smiling at me. "Good morning. " I said softly. I gave Brooke a hug and sat down at the table to eat. "This is really good. What is it? " I asked them. "It's a breakfast casserole." Brooke said. "Thank you guys. " I said. "Your welcome bestie." Brooke said. "Nick? Can I tell you sending from when I was 11? It's really stupid, but it's about this boy that I liked in 6th grade." I asked him. Nick laughed. Brooke laughed.
"It's kinda sad, but it's in the past." I said. "Okay. So, there was this boy named Philip and I had this huge crush on him. I was scared to talk to him, but he gave me butterflies. So one day, I was walking to chorus, and he tapped me on the shoulder, and he was like 'You know I went to your little sisters class right? ' and im Just speechless. I was happy that I crossed his mind for a few seconds. I was like 'No, that's cool. ' and he laughed and we just stared at each other for a few minutes. Anyway, we got to chorus, and he sat RIGHT next to me. I'm pretty sure when my face got red and I was making 'Oh my god I love you ' eyes he knew I liked him. But anyway, my friend Elizabeth, we were doing a song, and you had to use your arms to make a letter, and Elizabeth hit me in the head, repeatedly, so I did the same to her. Philip laughed at me but yeah. We never talked after that. I did really like him. I found out later he liked Elizabeth. She bullied me in kindergarten and still did. I never told anyone. Everything went wrong and I was depressed." I said and sighed.
Nick gave me a look. ' Every boy that you liked was a asshole. ' Kinda look. Nick kissed me. I opened one eye and Brooke was staring. I stopped kissed Nick. "Brooke? " I asked and looked at her. "Im sorry, Nick is hot!" Brooke said, laughing. "He's something special." I smiled.
"I gotta go. I'll call you later. Bye. Happy Birthday Kenzie!" She smiled and went out the door. Nick looked at me. He kissed me.. Hard. He pushed me up against the wall. We moved into the kitchen. He sat me up on the kitchen counter and I wrapped my legs around his waist. He threw me on the bed. He tickled me. I started squirming. "Nick.. I need to take a shower." I got off the bed and he hit my ass. I grabbed a towel and went into the shower.
Nicks P. O. V.
She was getting in the shower and I was looking for my phone. Shit. It was in the bathroom. I walked in.
Mackenzie's P. O. V.
Someone walked in. It was Nick. "Nick! Hey. " I said looking at him up and down. "Um, yeah. I'm looking for my phone. " Nick said. "Oh. Okay! " I said and then heard the door close. I got out of the shower and put on some comfortable clothes. I got a call from my old friend Lexi. (Her pic will be up on the next one)
Me: Hello?
Lexi: Hey! It's Lexi Smith! I went to school with you and we were bffs?
Me: OMG Hey! I thought you moved to Texas.
Lexi : I did. I'm back in Las Vegas. Happy Birthday Kenzie!
Me: thank you! Wanna come over?
Lexi: Hellz yeah! :3
Me: Okay. Lunch? 12:00?
Lexi: Yeah! TTYL
Me: TTYL
"NIIIIICKKK! I HAVE A FRIEND COMING OVER AND I NEED YOU TO DRESS NICE! " I yelled. "okayyyy! " he yelled back. I put on my makeup, put on some nicer clothes and waited for Lexi to arrive.
