I sat next to Nick, or he sat next to me. Nick was different.He's sweet,outgoing, funny, and he cares. We started to eat. I felt his hand go on my thigh. I did a fake yawn. "Tired?" Brooke asked. "Very... " I replied. Nick moved his up. "We need to figure out where we are going to sleep." I said. I don't know why I was letting him touch my thigh. Nick moved his hand up even more. I took another bite of my food. "Well, where do you want to sleep Nick?" Brooke asked. "Um, the couch would be fine. " Nick said softly. "The couch? That thing is hard. " Brooke said. "No, really it's fine. " Nick said back. "What if Kenzie sleeps with me and you have the guest room?" Brooke asked. "Brooke? Do you know why I dont sleep with you?" I said jokingly. " When we were little, we had our first sleepover, you stole all of the bed, stole my covers, and pushed me of the bed." "Yeah, you're right." Brooke said. "But I'll do it anyway. " I said.
After we got done eating and Nick moved his hand up and down my leg a few more times, we got showers and put on our pajamas. "Okay, I'm tired. "Brooke said. We were all sitting on the couch watching a movie. "I'm going to bed. Goodnight." "Night." I said back. So it was just Nick and I. I wrote my number on a piece of paper. "Here. Just in case. " I said.
"oooh... PAPER " Nick said jokingly. I put my head on his shoulder nothing. But I want you too know I really like you."
4 weeks later
I got my cast off. Nick and I have really bonded. We've became best friends. "Hey Kenzie! Nick said. "Hey. " I have a surprise for you." Nick said. "What? " I asked. "I'll show you tonight. " Nick said. "Let's go shopping!" Nick said. "Nick? Are you okay? " I asked. He never wants to go shopping. *Feels Nicks head* "Im fine." He took me shopping. He wanted me to wear this red dress with jewels on the chest part and it had spaghetti straps, and it was very pretty. "Nick? Where are we going?" I asked. "I can't tell you. What's the part of the surprise?" Nick said.
We went back home and watched movies. At 6:30 pm he told me to go get ready. When I walked out of my room, he was standing at the door. "Woah, Mr. Handsome. We must be going somewhere special. " I said. He smiled. "Well nice to see you too pretty lady. " he said back. I smiled and he blindfolded me in the car. He was dressed in a tux. He looked too darn sexy for his own darn good. He put in a CD and we started singing together.
The car eventually stopped. He turned off the car and got out. About 10 minutes later he came back. We went inside and it was quiet and empty. The lights were off. He took the blindfold off and "Come on out everybody! " Nick shouted. "Wow, nick, I FINALLY GET TO MEET YOUR PARENTS! " I screamed. Someone tapped me on the shoulder. "Brooklyn? Hi! " I said. "Hey" she said back. I turned and saw Nick's brothers and parents. "Dang Nick, you got yourself some sexiness right here!" Joe said. I blushed and laughed. "Sorry about that. " Kevin said. "Hi Mr and Mrs Jonas, I'm Makenzie Johnson." "nice to meet you too. Welcome to our house, um would you like anything to drink? " Mrs. Jonas asked. "No thanks." I said. They walked away to talk to other people. "Wow Nick your family is nice." "Thank you. " He said. "Hey everybody! " Nick yelled. " I want to announce something.
" He took out a ring box from his pocket and opened it. "Makenzie Johnson, you have became my best friend. But ever since I saw you, I have loved you. Makenzie, will you be my girlfriend?" I was speechless. I came to Las Vegas to make my dreams. But maybe he was my dream. I took a deep breath. "Nick, I came to Las Vegas to make my dreams, but Yes Nick, I will be your girlfriend. " He smiled and blushed and I kissed him. The ring said 'Forever.'He turned me around and pushed me up against the wall. He kissed me but then realized we were in front of people. I was holding in a laugh. Before he could say anything we heard a knock on the door. "I'll get it. " Nick said. He opened the door and I wished he hadn't.
