(We continue the flashback)

"Hey you there!" a voice interrupted, startling the duo, "What do you think YOU'RE doing to the prince?!"

The duo turned around to only stare at a group of men, which held back what seemed to be decaying desert men.

"Oh no," Cyrus muttered, "Ghouls."

'Darn it. They really want me back.' the boy thought.

He stood up quickly, walking briskly towards the group. He stopped when he was in between the struggling soldiers and Miranda.

He turned quickly to face the halfway-drunken brutes. And spread his arms out protectively in front of Miranda.

"Hey!" Cyrus shouted, anger swelling in his chest, "She isn't harming me in any way. So I guess you can walk away from this and never harm her."

"You know, for a Young Prince of Valento, you sure enjoy then Yliastralans." the man spat with a lot of spite.

"I said to leave us alone." Cyrus ordered again.

"Your Father wants us to take you home, Lord Cyrus." another piped in.

"Oh really? Last time I checked, he's the one who let me leave. I never wanted my Dumb Title. You can tell hi-"

"THAT ISN'T TRUE!" a new voice spoke up.

A young man dressed in a new set of dark brown armor that had highlights of a bright gold and silver. And on his fitted black cap, stood a symbol in the form of a ball with eyes and a zig zag line ran across it like a mouth.

Cyrus gasped. "Xander?! W-what're you doing here?"

"I'm here to take you away from that..." he smiled as he spoke the next bit, "Filth. You've spent way too much time with that..... Ylistralan Princess."

Cyrus and Miranda flinched at these words.

Wait... Cyrus was royalty?!

"Hey, whats this Xander saying Cy?" Miranda stared at her black-haired friend.

"I'm........ Currently the second youngest child of the royal family. Xander here, is.... My oldest sibling."

He waited a moment for her answer.

But she still kept quiet... As if she was thinking of something...

Funny...

She smiled. "It's alright Cyrus. That's amazing though." She ran up and hugged him from behind. He blushed at this, but allowed it to happen.

"Hey Miranda..." Cyrus began. He turned around to face her red face. He placed one hand behind her head and brought it close to him.

And he uttered the words "I vow to keep you safe. No matter what happens."

And with that, he pressed his lips to her head. He couldn't keep in how he felt anymore. He would tell her when the time was right.

"How sweet of you Baby Brother. However, that shall not last. Father wants to cut off any connections you made," Xander replied, tears filling up in his eyes, "Permanently. And that if you interfered, you too would be cut down. I-I'm sorry Cyrus. Do it."

Xander turned away as some soldiers separated the duo and held them apart.

And in the distance, a younger Alyssa was seen chopping up the army as she charged towards Miranda.

"You'll never get my Baby Sister you SCUM!" she shouted.

But alas, the soldiers pushed Miranda over the precipice and she fell to her death. Cyrus quickly broke free as she was falling backwards and rushed to get her. Time seemed to slow down as she fell.

As Cyrus reached his hand over to catch her, the ghouls faced him and started to attack him.

But Alyssa arrived in enough time to get them off of him. She glanced over at him and shouted "SAVE HER!" with tears in her eyes.

And without further ado, he jumped over the precipice after her.

Ultimately ending up in a river, grasping for life.

After a while of drifting down the river, he glimpsed at her dead body and weeped over her.

He broke his vow.

He managed to push her body onto the shore as he sped by it.

That was the least he could do. For her. To stop her precious body from hitting stones.

The morning sun heated up the sand, causing the poor boy to rush back into the river.

But he forgot the fact that there was a bad current.

And he was swept up again.

But this time, he fell into a hole. Wait...

A hole?!

He fell through this misty hole. For what seemed an eternity was only a moment.

He hit a wooden floor. And fell unconscious.

When he woke up, he sat up to find that his clothes were in tatters and was covered in wet and soaked bloody bandages.

"Where am I?" he had to ask. He heard something behind him move and he jumped and turned around slowly.

He saw a middle-aged man, who had a peculiar hair color of black and white hair with a handlebar mustache.

He wore green robes that fell to his feet and he held in his right hand a book.

"Ahhh... I see you're awake. Welcome to Rainbow Road. I'm Pepe, called the Sage of Rainbow Road. You're in a country called Zucrandar. And I'll be darned. You're not from this world. Because I've seen you several weeks back."

Cyrus's jaw dropped.

He continued. "You're not supposed to be here, but the dimensions allowed you to be here because the you from this one has... Unfortunately... Died. So it decided to take you and put you here to even  out the stress. And you're in luck too. The Cyrus here is also a nobleman who is close with the Miranda. Now she thinks that you're on a trip. And hat you're back in three days. Hurry on there and you'll be okay to have another chance. Oh and if this happens again. Come back.  Oh, and show me this." He gave Cyrus a sword with four divots.

"Thanks Pepe. I'll remember you." Cyrus thanked with tears in his eyes.

"No need for thanks. Come by anytime." Pepe laughed.

Cyrus bolted out the door, smiling ear to ear.

Knowing that it's fine.

Knowing he has a second chance with Miranda.
