-Miranda P.O.V.-

I guess that it was abnormal, the way Martin's attitude at the moment, but it didn't matter at the moment, we'll, at least to me.

That's what I don't get about Martin. He at first glance seems to be like a normal person, but at a closer look and you can tell he has plenty of pent-up emotions inside. I could tell from the look in his eyes.

And I can say is that he was somewhat conflicted. And when I mean conflicted, I mean his emotions are battling against each other.

"Stop!" I commanded.

Martin glanced in my direction, a sign that my voice had reached him. At the moment he was crossing swords with a man. The man had brought his hood up to cover his head. And he let his arm dangle to his side.

He pushed hard on his sword, pushing Martin back, who fell on his bottom. I guess that the man was somewhat confused, as he the relaxed his sword arm.

It was at that moment that Martin had gotten back up on his feet, and so he then dashed forward to tackle the hooded man, who did nothing as to try and stop him.

They fell down hard, a dust cloud flying up and around them. Martin grabbed his collar. "Why? Why did you do it, huh?!?!?!" Martin screamed, "Why did you risk your life to save hers back then?"

The hood fell over his face, but I could see that his face softened, and that his lips formed a frown. I could see tears streaming down his face as Martin's face grow more angry by the minute.

The man didn't answer for a bit, "Because a promise is a promise..." he replied, his voice cracking. I recognized that voice, but from where?

I finally had the courage to speak. "What's going on?" I asked, as I approached them.

Martin saw the look on my face, and his expression softened, "Why are you crying Miranda?"

'Crying?'  I thought. I brought a hand to my face, and I felt the familiar texture of the clear liquid. "I don't know... Well, I did have anot- Never mind, it's nothing..."

Martin's hands clenched tighter. "Do you not recognize him?" I shook my head. "I thought so. It appears that you do not have the ability to see through magic, or the power to sense the auras of others... Very we'll then." He had a smile on his face.  He then sighed. "I guess that she NEEDS to know, wouldn't you agree?" Martin seethed the last three words.

The man looked towards me, then Martin. He then nodded, "But I'M the one who'll do it, alright Martin? That's the least we can do right now alright?"

Martin sighed angrily, the nodded his head. He released his grip on the collar, and stood up, raising his arms up in defense as he backed up. He then crossed his arms and eyes the man carefully.

The man stood up, and with his hands, he began to dust himself off, to no avail whatsoever. He the approached me, and I'll admit I was growing a bit nervous.

"I'll admit," he said, his hands reaching for his hood, "I never anticipated that I'd find you this quickly." Martin glared at him, and in a swift motion, he took off his hood.

And immediately my face began to flush red as I realized who the man was, whom of which was in close proximity to me.

"Wait..." I said, my mind drawing a few blanks, "How in the world are you here, Cyrus?"
