-Miranda P.O.V.-

Night had eventually reached us so we had to camp by a river. I didn't quite hear the name of the river but I heard that we were headed North towards Bergurtruking. That's the area (to which I assume), would be the place where we would hopefully find the cure to Alyssa.

But that didn't stop me from trying to find a way home. I won't stop. How long had I been here?

I could assume at least ten weeks because that is how long it's been that I found this band of liberators.

They say that there is a God up there, watching over everyone.

But at this moment... It seemed as though that there was no God.

I was alone. Confused. Lost.

I didn't without a shadow of a doubt that this world had an even bigger tizzy.

I remembered the King. His gaze always seemed to be deep. I had always felt his gaze no matter what I did. I remember his eyes, seemingly uncommon, his eyes were blue and green. Distinct green flames in it.

But for the first time in my life, I hadn't felt that gaze as strongly as I normally did.

It was even stronger in certain areas. And it wanes in others.

I feel as though it has to do something with the Ghouls.

Normally, I would've brushed it off, but I am very perturbed by it.

I walked away from the fire to go off and think to myself.

From what I heard, the other me was dead. I didn't quite understand the details, but I could ascertain that it was terrible because Mark or Alyssa wouldn't talk. Alyssa is very delirious at the moment. Mark was too silent.

That was the big difference between him and my twin. He was silent and serious , and my brother was talkative and funny.

"Hey." said a voice. I turned around.

"Hello Martin." I replied.

"You shouldn't go too far from the camp you know. Due to-"

"Ghouls. Yeah, I know."

"Not just them. Brigands, animals, and the 'Rabbids Master'."

"Rabbids Master?"

"An infamous bounty hunter. Rumor is is that this river and nearby desert, is his territory."

"Ok. How did I, I mean Miranda die?"

He was silent at first. "One night, you were cornered by Ghouls and Xander, the Crown Prince of Valvento. You were pushed off a cliff."

"Oh." I'll admit, I was shocked.

"Hold on," he looked passed my shoulder, "I see some people. Stay here."

I opened my mouth to argue, but he said "I'm going to check them out. I'm a shape shifter."

He walked off towards the area.

Did he seriously think that I was going to listen. What if he needed help?

I picked up my sword, and I ran off towards where Martin had gone to.
