Part 7 - Love triangle?

Kaoru's POV

I was silent. I couldn't speak. I had no answer for her. I blurted that out, but truth be told, did I like her? Or are these feelings just because she is the one of two people who could ever differentiate us?
I did feel something the other day, when I found out that she liked me. Why me though? Was I so different from Hikaru? No other girl seemed to care if it was me or Hikaru after all. My head was spinning with questions. I glanced at Hikaru and noticed the spark in his eyes as he turned towards me
"Kaoru... were you serious about what you said? Do you really have feelings for ____?" He asked and I just looked away.
"I ... I don't know" I truthfully replied.

Hikaru's POV

I waited for an answer from my brother, but he didn't seem to know his feelings yet.
And what about me? What did I feel about ____? My heart ached a little when I realized that she liked Kaoru. But is that just fear that she'll steal my brother from me, or... something else? And what about Haruhi? The more I think about it, the more I realize that I only like Haruhi because she could tell us apart and notice the small differences between us. But ____. She noticed those differences just because she was so in love with Kaoru. She sees us as two seperate beings, with different personalities, even if we're so much alike.
I'm confused. I think... I think I'm jelaous of Kaoru for having someone hold such strong feelings for him.
"Kaoru... I think... I might be falling for her" I confessed and we both stared at one another speechless. I think, no, I know that Kaoru is as well.

A new day came around and you started it just like any other day. You were, however, surprised to see that the twins had already arrived and they were chatting happily with Haruhi. You smiled relieved. You knew that they would eventually come around and go over the awkward discussion from the past two days. You approached the three and waved
"Morning guys. Glad to see you're feeling better" you mused and sat down on your spot.
"Morning!" Haruhi replied and the twins just grinned.
"More than better..."
"....we're amazing!" They completed one another once again. And once again, your stomach did little flips whenever Kaoru talked, but you didn't let that show in the slightest.
"Hey, ____, you thirsty?" Hikaru asked and pushed a Pepsi bottle on your desk. You gasped happily but then quickly shook your head.
"I love Pepsi, but my dad would kill me if he found out I was drinkimg this..."
"Well, he's not here, and nobody here will tell him" Kaoru said grining and you gave into your lust and took a drink out of the bottle. You beamed with joy and the two just grinned. Haruhi caught their reaction and smiled.
When club activites began, you did your usual things, and once in a while you would steal some side glances at the two twins. They seemed to be back to normal and the girls seemed extatic now that the forbidden love was back in the menu. All seemed to go back to normal. And you were happy with that.
"Hey, _____-chan" you heard someone calling and saw that it was the two girls you had entertained the day before. They were at the twins table. They motioned for you to come closer, and you complied.
"Anything I can get you princess?" You asked sweetly and the girl nodded.
"Actually, we had such a good time yesterday, is it alright if you join us and Hikaru and Kaoru for a few?" She asked bashfully.
"Are you sure milday? I'd hate to intervine in your time with the Hitachiin's" you enquired.
"It's fine! I think the five of us will have a wonderful time!" The other girl said as she patted the free chair next to her and you smiled and bowed slowly.
"Well then, if that is what you feel, I'd hate to dissapoint such wonderful princesses." You looked at the twins for their approval as well and they just nodded happily. You sat down and placed the tray you had on the table.
"Well, how about we play a little game?" Hikaru asked, getting the attention of the two girls and yourself.
"Is it the 'which one is Hikaru?', because I'm so bad at that game..." the girl said apologetically and the two just shook their heads.
"Nope, we decided to do a different one today!" Kaoru said and pulled a box from the inside pocket of his jacket. It took you a while to process what it was, but your mouth dropped when you realized what it was and almost jumped on the boy to snatch it.
"What is that?" One girl enquired curiouslly.
"Why not ask ____? She seems to know what it is" Kaoru chuckled at your reaction and you quickly snapped out of it.
"Oh, that's pocky!" You said happily and explained when you saw the even more confused faces of the two. "It's a chocolate covered biscuit stick. It's very sweet" the girl nodded and smiled.
"Well, what game did you have in mind?" One girl asked taking a sip out of her tea. The two smirked and Hikaru pulled out a small bowl with several notes in it.
"Let me explain. Two of the notes here have the numbers 1 and 2 written on it. Whoever picks the two papers will have to play the Pocky game!" Your face dropped as it turned crimson.
"What is this, a Goukon?" You stammered and the two just laughed. The two girls were very confused at all of this
"Nope, just a little fun." Hikaru said.
"And whoever loses at the Pocky game will get a penalty game to do" Kaoru added.
"Well, let's draw papers!" Hikaru said happily.
"No way, you can count me out of this one!" You tried sinking into your chair as far as you could. "How do even know about such games?" You muttered under your breath.
"I don't know how to play though" one girl said and the boys just reassured her that they would teach them.
"Come on, ____, pick one!" Hikaru said and shook the bowl a little. You just shook your head furiouslly.
"Awh please, ___?" The more, the merrier, right?" The girl gave you puppy eyes so big your heart melted. They had no idea what they were getting in. But at the same time, you didn't want to disappoint them, so you picked up a paper defeated. That seemed to bring joy in the boys eyes. You just wanted to eat some pocky, how did it come to this?
"Alright, let's see who got what!" The boys mused and you gulped. The only thing you could do at this moment is just hope that you got either blank or just not with the boys. You peeked at your paper and sighed inside when you saw the number 1 sloppily scribbled on the crumbed up paper.
"I got number 2!" Hikaru said happily and the girls as well as Kaoru just raised their blank papers and all eyes fell on you.
"Ok, then me and ____ will play the game! You wonderful ladies can watch us and see exactly how to play" Hikaru picked up the box of candy and pulled his chair over and sat down next to you.
"Like I said, I don't really want to play this game..." you whined quietly and Hikaru just smirked pulling your chin up as you stared into his honey colored eyes.
The boy had already picked up a pocky and placed one end in his mouth and urged you to do the same.
You could hear the girls gasp excited.
"Basically, they both have to eat through the pocky till the center. The first one to break the pocky or retreat loses. If you kiss, it's a tie" Kaoru explained the rules and the girls let out such a high pitched squeal, only dogs could hear it. With the corner of your eyes you saw them staring intently at the two of you.
You gulped and put the chocolate flavoured piece in your mouth and gulped slowly while still staring in those eyes.
"Andddd go!" Kaoru declared and the both of you slowly started through the small piece of candy. You tried biting as little as you could from it, and so did Hikaru, but that felt even longer.
All pairs of eyes were on you two. The piece was getting smaller and smaller, and your heart was pounding deeply in your chest.
Only a couple of inches left. One more. Hikaru didn't seem to want to stop. You closed your eyes and before anything went any further you quickly pulled your head back, before any contact was made.
The girls gasped and giggled amused. You chewed slowly on the sweet chocolate and looked at the two, who had an intense look on their faces.
"_____ lost! Penalty game!" Kaoru said and Hikaru just wiped his lips sensually.
"Now... how can we punish you for this loss?" Hikaru mused almost dangerously and you swallowed the pocky involuntarily.
