Chapter 7- off to work

I sat on the ground, watching the adorable bird. Eventually, it's mother came, a huge juicy worm in her mouth.
"My work here is done." I mummered to myself, checking my watch.
7:58
Oh my Irene I'm going to be late!

with the speed of a rabbit, I ran in the direction of the carnival, trying to get there by 8:00, the required time.
I NEED to get a good grade on this assignment!
A while later, I sped under a huge banner that read, "Phenix Drop Carnival", and checked my watch. 
8:04
Only four minutes late! Thank Irene!

"Your late!"
I headed the nice yet strict voice of my science teacher, Mrs. Polly.
"I'm so sorry!!"
"You better be!" My home room teacher Mr. Ross joined in.
"I am!"
"Get to work!" They both said in unison."
I slumped my head down, not even wanting to see the carnival that I would be working in for the next month.
You're going to have to see it some time, Garroth!
No! Don't do it!
The little voices inside of my head fought until I finally gave in, lifting my head the slightest bit.

When I looked to the left I saw a purple house with a red roof, completed with a sign on the door that read, "house of mirrors!", and straight across from it there was a similar building, this time blue and yellow, that said "fun house". Near the fun house, a sign shaped like an arrow read "Dino Land this way!".  One near the house of mirrors had letters on it spelling, "this way to the haunted house!" At the back of all this was a rainbow colored tent I could only assume was the circus, and surrounding that were rides of all shapes and colors, including two roller coasters. In the middle of all that was a food court complete with games that people waste all their money on to win prizes, and a hot dog, burger, corn dog,ice cream, and many more stands. In the middle of all of that was a humongous Farris wheel.
Disgusting
  The worst part of it all was that the cotton candy stand, the one that I had to work on, gave me a perfect view of the entire carnival.
This job was going to be worse then I thought.

Did you like it? This chapter was somewhat hard for me to write, describing the carnival and all! If my description wasn't good enough, I will be inserting a drawing of it at the top!! It's not the best, because I drew it myself, but it will give you the right picture! Sorry it's in black and white, though. :( The chapter is also kind of short, but I might have another short one out by the end of the day! :) Sorry if I don't get to it, though! Happy summer by the way!!!
