Chapter 18 -

      I woke up in the early hours of the morning. I couldn't sleep. I sighed and tried to get back to sleep, I had no such luck. I got out of bed and went to the window trying not to wake Brendan. I looked back at him and smiled. He was lay there with his hair messy and shirtless and snoring softly. I looked back to the window, I was thinking about fighting and how much that I had missed it. I stood there for a little while longer and then headed over to my wardrobe. I grabbed some black jeans and a black hoody and went into the bathroom. I slipped into the dark clothes and put my hair up in a bun and went back into the bedroom. I looked at Brendan and smiled at him sleeping, he looked peaceful. I got a piece of paper and wrote him a note;

'couldn't sleep but don't worry about me. I have gone to let off some steam in the ring, don't look for me as you won't find it I will be back soon. I promise. I love you lots and lots.

I left the note on the bedside table and snuck out of the room. I was so glad that I had told him that I loved to fight underground and even though he didn’t like it, he said that I could still fight. I slipped passed the guards and pulled my hoody tighter round my face so no one would recognize me. I pulled out my phone and began texting the people back home in the ring of where I could fight here. Within minutes I had a reply and an address, I smiled. I headed downtown and to the alleyway where I fought Brendan and Lorcan. I looked around the alleyway and sighed. This alleyway had changed my life and I owed the alley a lot. I headed to the end and knocked the door that was hidden. When I fought Brendan and Lorcan, I hadn’t seen it and I wasn’t surprised. The only way that you would see the door was if you knew about it or happened to come down here. The door opened and I was let in. I walked down the steps and followed the noise of shouting, once at the bottom I breathed in the scent of sweat and blood. I smiled. I had missed this. I strode foreword deeper down underground and headed to the desk where people signed. For the underground, it was very organized. The man on the desk was very muscled and looked scary. His hair was long and black and pulled into a tight pony tail; he had piercings all over his face and was covered in tattoo’s. He looked me up and down and smiled. He couldn’t see my face but could tell that I was female.

“What’s a pretty thing like you down here for? Are you lost?” I chuckled.

“I don’t see how getting lost could lead to here.” He grinned even further.

“You are right. You must be the entertainment for the bosses in the back.” I growled and slammed my fists on the desk. He jumped back and I had earned a lot of attention. I heard the ring slowly go quiet.

“Do I look as if I am someone’s toy?” I growled and the guy leaned foreword.

“If you’re not entertainment, then why are you here?” I shrugged.

“I am here to fight.” He burst out laughing as did most of the people in the ring. I smiled a dangerous smile.

“I don’t know why you are laughing.” He finally composed himself and looked me up and down.

“Because pretty ladies don’t fight. There is very few who do and they don’t come round here. The only one that who would come here is a champion.” I smiled.
