JIHAE's POV
I was getting ready in my room when my phone suddenly vibrated. It was a text from Mijoo.
Yah, Jaewoo is waiting for you in 'that' place. You do remember, right?
- MijooI sighed. Today I would meet with my long old friend. Jeon Jaewoo. I hoped it would be going well.
"Taehyung-ah!" I called his name as I walked downstairs.
Well, the same as the usual day. He ignored me while playing video games.
I approached him and patted his shoulder carefully. "Taehyung-ah."
"What?" He replied coldly, not even looking at me.
"I'm going out now."
"Yeah, whatever."
"Don't you wanna ask me where I'm going or with whom I'm going?" I asked. "You used to ask those questions."
"Can't you see I'm busy?! Get lost."
I sighed. "This is my house anyways," I muttered.
---
I had arrived at 'the place', which Mijoo mentioned before.
It was a park with a playground. Jaewoo and I used to play in this park when we were little. Sometimes, Mijoo also joined us and played with us.
I walked slowly towards the park. I saw a figure of a man sitting on the swing with his hoodie over his head.
Jeon Jaewoo.
How could I be so sure? Of course, Jaewoo had always woren hoodies and waited for me to come while sitting on that swing.
"Jaewoo-yah."
The figure slowly turned around. As soon as he saw me, he opened his hoodie and smiled at me.
"Lee Jihae, long time no see."
I walked towards the swing and sat on it, as well as Jaewoo. There were two swings, I sat on the right and Jaewoo sat on the left. Still the same habit we had when we were little.
"How are you?" I asked.
"Good, you?"
"Same."
"You've grown up, Jihae," he said. "You're so beautiful now."
I chuckled, yet blushed. "So, you're saying that I wasn't pretty when I was little?"
He also chuckled. "I didn't mean that. It's just that the little Jihae and the Jihae now have the different appearance."
"I quite forget what I looked like when I was little. Can you describe the little me?"
"The little Jihae always had messy hair every day. She's very short and quite fat. She had always run around the neighborhood while screaming for God knows why. She had a shrill voice whenever she talked, laughed, screamed, and even sang," he said as he recalled our childhood memories. "Oh God, she was horrible."
"Yah! Was I that bad?"
"Yeah, kind of."
"I was not that short, Jaewoo," I said as I was squinting.
"Of course you were. That was the reason why I always called you 'shortie'."
"Yah. I'm not that short now."
"Oh, really? Let's us both stand up and see our height."
I stood up in confidence, as well as Jaewoo. As soon as he saw my height, he burst into laugh.
